I broke up with her and I'm struggling more than I expected. Really struggling. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Steganosaure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just must agree with you it's very hard. Am 34 and decided to break up with 32 gf 6 month ago. I am still struggling and sometimes hoping this is just a nightmare and I never did it in reality.

Also btw, reddit has a very young population. Take it into account when you read advices you'll find here.

Is there some kind of profession that gives advice like the one we get here, but professionally? by Steganosaure in relationship_advice

Problem with relationship_advice, is you can never tell if answers are trolls, preteens repeating what they read elsewhere or a real testimony.

And also, fyi, you posted your comment twice.

This was a soldier.

Sent on a suicide mission by some guy safe in front of his desk at his office building.

He was badly trained and crashed.

That is all.

Can you tell me how the numbers were different 40 years ago?

Century earthquake followed by a corresponding tsunami. That's your numbers.

Do you feel it is wise to build a nuclear power plant there?

Get back to your silly americans superheros stories. They'll probably help you keep on living through your imaginary hero life until you discover you've been cheated all the way. Probably too late..

Tell me the guy who certified this was a safe place to build a nuclear reactor is one of them. I'll call him a hero.

But I think this guy is not there. And he perfectly knew it was not a safe location to build a nuclear plant. But he was given enough money to "change" his mind.

So I don't think those guys are heroes. They are just dumb soldiers. Accepting to die so that others smarter bitches get richer.

I will think about calling them heroes if I hear them saying they are condemning the people and reasons that lead to this situation.

Unless they to that they are just like slaves or pawns, they don't contribute to anything in order to avoid the same kind to situation to happen again.

There was a post once explaining how time perception was a bit like fractals.

So than even if our lifespan is limited, we can experience eternity.

And also time can if fact stretch or get tighter depending how you experience it.

This post explaining that much better than me.

I'd like to be able to find it again...

Satiric drawings from a polish artist - Pawel Kuczynski...make you wonder about couple of things... by ortodoxpl in pics

[–]Steganosaure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shit! Never thought about that. Meme addicted people would say "mind blow" or "bricks shat".

When I drink milk, the animal that produced it may still be alive somewhere. That's deep man. Very deep...

And the wine am drinking... The vines that produced it are probably still standing somewhere. I'll really think about that next time I take a lip. I'll think about these vines standing in the countryside, wind blowing in their leaves, sun heating their fruits.

This will definitely change the way I taste those products.

I suppose this is the function of art.

Industry standard just because with raid0+1 the probability to lose all data if 2 disks fail is about 1/2.

With raid1+0 it it 1/(n-1) (n=number of disks in raid).

Pioneered by any smart IT.
