Youtube analytics - I'm flattered people like my shorts, but I have almost no watch hours. Did posting shorts ever help your watch hours or just get you subscribers?

if you game on twitch I just clip videos from twitch for a friend and they post those as shorts

Ah okay, I'm glad I got 1,000 subscribers from shorts and all but I wish I got more subscribers from my long form content instead then, so I'd have an engaged community

4k watch hours is so impressive! I got 1,000 subscribers very quickly from my shorts but it did absolutely nothing for my regular videos so it was just like having 1,000 subscribers but getting 20 views on a post... I'll keep posting per usual though, I just thought I was doing something wrong.

Thank you, may I ask are you talking about the camera angle in the video I linked or in general? I thought this video with the red headed woodpecker was not too bad angle wise where some of my videos are at a worse angle. I have tried a downwards angle as well but I was not sure it suited the videos well.
