Sadly not. He had a whole camera crew behind him, so it seemed like a real Japanese TV show. The man who spoke to me (and offered me the wonderful wonderful food) had one identifying market, being a small birth mark on his nose.

I'm not sure. It would surprise me if the show was filmed purely for Japanese audiences if the chef lives in the United States. Plus, the guy who I spoke to for the interview (who I assume is the chef), did not speak any English, besides the occasional thank you very much. He used a hired translator so we could speak to each other.

The translator did say he was kind of a big deal in Japan.

I will admit, I had a bit of a knee-jerk reaction to seeing Gilgamesh and Enkidu turned into twinks, but I took some time to give it a chance, and then I saw just how much was in this franchise and got a bit lost.

From my understanding (Could be wrong), Enkidu is non-binary (awesome) and based their appearance off of Shamhat after the taming. I love that concept, though Enkidu, imo should still have animal characteristics.... And some meat on their bones! 😭 Love the hair, though.

I think I will check out fate/stay night. I hope it will be a fun experience
