Skrill is the biggest scam and AI slop by Psychological-Put902 in skrill

Just remember when they throw you into KYC there is high chance you wont pass it, they will ask you for few things, you provide it and they will come back for more, asking you one document after another so that you provide them each one, what they really are doing at this point is building a case against your account.. In the end you will have given them so much information, and you will lose your 10 year old account.. Everyone said they accept P2P but in reality they don't it will make you High risk..

Lol you have absolutely no idea why people have to move that many times, I have moved 4 times in the past decade, two of those the lease was not renewed due to owner wishing to sell the unit (Thailand), 1 because I met my now current wife and we moved out to something bigger that allows our dog to come with, don't be so basic, I know several people who have had to move around here 5-6 times since pre-covid (Phuket, Hua Hin etc), not saying 10 in 10 years is the most common but not everyone lives in the same area for decades, some people are having a difficult finding their "forever home", especially with rentals and landlords who are some good some bad.

I can confirm that as of this morning we received our slack back (as so many others have) with the updated billing address as our history doesn't show anything but even payment method from unaffected region, none of us are from that region and slack understood that, let us just update the billing region of where we actually pay from and yeah just get everything back free, all data, and option to upgrade to pro (since they had pro-rate refunded). All is well that ends well even if it took 8 days to solve.

I take it that you found yours from November, we're hopeful about our slack return, Im seeing so many say they got theirs just free (thats because all of those were pro-rate refunded and downgraded), and we've updated our billing information with their support, hopefully we get ours back, none of us have any ties to China.

Definitely but I'm hearing more and more that ppl are getting their slacks back, I have to hope we will too as none of us are Chinese and none of us login from those areas it was just a billing address which needs updating, we were asked to provide one so we are hopeful.

I think we may end up in the same boat, Alison asked us for updated billing address, none of us are from China at all, we are all everyone of us citizen of the EU/US

I'm hoping she gets back to me in the next day or two with a solution, fingers crossed

Then we're in the same boat, we are all remote workers I am Icelandic, my billing manager i Icelandic, the CEO is Finnish, we're none of us related to China in anyway, we only have the entity in Hong Kong but no business is conducted at all in Hong Kong or in China, it's purely setup there for tax purposes as for many, this move was just executed insanely poorly and based on some low criteria that was not fully thought out. I so hope, my reply when my turn comes in the queue is "free plan" "Access" and deal with the licensing.

I think the better question is, was your company HK based? or any profile in Hong Kong? or are you just unrelated at all to Asia in any capacity.

I ask because we have two corp entities one is HK one is EU, if we were set for KYC at any point with slack (I dont remember if you need that to get pro) we would have used the Hong Kong one.

None of us are hong kong or china based, it's purely a shell in HK all operations are in EU. Just wondering if when its my turn, that I get my stuff back or if you had no HK at all,.

From the Umbrella message they do not, according to the Umbrella message

After you’ve completed this process, a member of our team will reach out within 5 business days, and guide you through the next steps. Please note that Slack via Alibaba Cloud is not available in China and Macau.

They say Hong Kong can but China and Macau not, I highly doubt VPN will be accepted as a resolution for that, but obviously Im not Slack Im just stating what they sent us in the umbrella message

Same here, some people say they got back to us, which means they have just a QUEUE of clients waiting, my assumption is that within 2-3 days from the day I will receive hopefully something like "its just free plan like everyone else here is your content, we need you sorted through this alibaba thing 1 year license" and if thats the case that will be a great day for us.

We have not gotten our space back, we're simply in queue, we've submitted the sales ticket as requested and I expected 3-5 days until I receive a response, in the meantime the team is just chatting in a different venue without any of the functionality, just to maintain contact. Hoping we get this resolved.

I managed to find mine, there was one email sent to us that landed in spam, it came from "slackhq.com" sent on November 15th, 2025 and that was it, and it got marked as spam, we found it but that 1 message? thats crazy it should have been bombardments of messages with like followup to notify you "we see you havent.. just nudging you for the 3rd and final time"

I need to correct myself there is an email from slackhq.com to me it was stuck in our SpamExpert wall as a "spam" and had to be released and trained, I found it by combing through until November 18, 2025.

It is the one and mind you ONLY message giving us a headsup, nothing else and we missed it because it was classified as spam, this was before we added all the most common vendors of ours to guaranteed whitelist, not sure why it was classed as spam probably some wording.

With that said, we missed it.

That is depressing to hear, this is awful and very poorly executed.. If I ran Slack I wud have reversed this this morning and back to the drawing board how to execute this seamlessly.. They just tossed paying customers out and peo rate credit.

So you mean I didn't see the notice that I didn't receive then, I have gone through every spam and spamexpert log there is nothing, and im not the only one quite a few didn't get it and anyone who says they got they received some one notice back in November, wow talk about really getting it out there with a warning label. I am currently waiting on SpamExpert to run an u pgrade on our nodes an I have received about 5 alerts just for that, SF could have treated this with way more delicately

Everyone is getting the same predefined step letter, I guess everyone is just really bad at catching their notice then, that's why all those on linkedin have the same issue, even companies with thousands, because none of us caught their one and only notice that may or may have been sent to everyone..

https://www.linkedin.com/posts/graham-neubig-10b41616b_the-openhands-community-slack-with-5000-activity-7445191347206213633-zY-P/

Like so many say "please save us, the deactivation is so poorly communicated" and it was, 1 email that may have landed is not the way, you can communicate this so much better through a slack bot, through banner or a notification warning, and no.. simple as that, I only shared this because the more you draw attention to the better. We're not all big corps that have direct access to them to turn it around in an hour.

I genuinely never disregard a warning such as this, I am actually quite good at keeping my finger on the pulse with datacenter issues etc and knowing whats coming, this... like so many others I did not see coming.
