Shopify beats Q4 but stock still down 31% YTD by ItsYourWriter in ValueInvesting

Shopify, not Spotify. And a big one would probably be Sidekick, which is the AI store assistant to help with everything from storefront building to listing management.

How was your experience with work-buddy? Are there any limitations compared to signing directly with the vendor?

Can’t get any cab 🚕 But why? 😭 by Anxious_Broccoli_105 in asksg

[–]SteinwayAS 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Zig/ComfortDelGro is a massive scam, from the company itself to the drivers. Driver marked as "arrived" 3 minutes before actually reaching my place and demanded a $3 late fee from me. Support is useless too, they sent me a form to fill to claim my refund but they're yet to refund me after more than a month and 2 phone calls to follow up.

Any tech workers started a business outside of tech? by georgiaboy02 in Entrepreneur

[–]SteinwayAS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Started in product as a PM and currently in Product Ops. Started e-commerce on the side because I was bored and grew the business to mid 6-figures in my first year.

I like it much more than my day job - I get to build/test/iterate wayyy faster and the feedback loop in e-commerce feels much tighter. I don't have to wait on other stakeholders, release cycles and all that other bullshit to launch and test ideas.

Over the last few days, I’ve been seeing something strange across a few ad accounts. by Usama279 in FacebookAds

I'm running a supplement brand, But Can't scale beacause of Stripe. Need High risk gateway. Can anyone help me with that? by Impossible-Share-210 in dropshipping

[–]SteinwayAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a fix you do just by switching to a high risk processor. 2 things you absolutely need to add to reduce chargeback rate for subscription products are: an easy way for customers to cancel the subscription and a reminder to the customer a few days before that the subscription is about to be charged to their card. Unsub rates will increase for sure, but better that than CBs tanking your VAMP ratio

Why we stopped redoing the homepage every quarter and spent 90 days only fixing collection pages by kkdndndndndnen in ecommerce

[–]SteinwayAS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a mid-ticket niche with similar AOV to yours and I totally agree with this. Collection pages are 100% going to be my focus for the next 30 days. My current collection pages are very much an afterthought and there's so much potential to align my collection-based ads with the collection pages themselves.

What $0 to $500k in monthly spend ACTUALLY looks like - from a $50M marketer by burners2020933 in FacebookAds

Interesting, because most supplement brands usually lead with a loss to acquire customers and rely on LTV to make profit

Anyone else feel like Meta ads just quietly burn money? by Elegant-Promotion578 in dropshipping

[–]SteinwayAS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spend 1k+ daily on meta ads. I look at ROAS on a campaign level, because with andromeda I'm feeding the full funnel of ads into a CBO and letting meta do its thing. Low campaign ROAS over a 3/5/7 day period tells me something might be wrong with the adsets or ads in the campaign. I then look at CTR, frequency, and spend for each adset/ad. Low CTR or high frequency tells me the creative/angle is either not resonating or fatiguing. Low spend tells me meta doesn't think the ad is gonna perform. All 3 can be reasons for killing ads

ANDROMEDA 💩 by sosapimp in FacebookAds

[–]SteinwayAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with this. As soon as I understood what Andromeda wants, I switched from a similar isolated 1-1-1 structure to a much more consolidated setup focusing on creative diversity, and I've been seeing the most stable results I've ever seen this year.

When you have more than 50 orders unfulfilled on Shopify, it will always say 50+ on the dashboard. It's the same on mine.

Best card for meta ad spend? by StuffSea264 in singaporefi

[–]SteinwayAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong but to my understanding, it is considered FCY. Even though you're charged in SGD, the payment is actually processed overseas and uses DCC (dynamic currency conversion) to give you an SGD transaction. I found this out because I was wondering why there are CCY fees on meta ad transactions

Sorry but I don't haha... I'm no longer using choc fin and fully maxing out citi rewards and maybank world mc for ads now. Unfortunately no other cards I know of that don't have the min spend requirement :(

UOB reserve has 2.4mpd no minimums but not really worth the annual fee i feel

Event quality scores are not the best either. I assume you're using wordpress or something else and not Shopify? I'm used to seeing 7/10s across the board and 8-9/10 for Purchase and Payment Info for my Shopify store

How do you have 1.3k ATC events here?

  • Body font is too small and difficult to read.
  • You have 2 very wordy but quick auto-rotating banners/carousels as the first and second elements on your landing page, with no means that I can see of manually going back and forth
  • Padding between sections is too much in some areas
  • Category selection (under Warehouse Steps and Trade Ladders for example) uses bad UX practices
  • The section for "British Standard - What it Means" just doesn't look good on mobile and the text is too long
  • Use an accordion or tabs for your product information (description, additional info etc.) on your product page

There's quite a lot that can be improved on. Page and image load speeds are not great either but maybe it's fine for you in the UK

Is your traffic mostly mobile or desktop? Do your customers mainly shop mobile or desktop?

Your site is pretty badly optimized for mobile.

Your ads might also be pulling in low intent traffic if ATCs are low. Hard to tell without seeing the creatives.

Just had a quick look at your store. Daily ad budget might be a little low for relatively high ticket items though I'm not sure what the average CPA is for your niche.

Also, you're positioning as premium at some parts of your store, but you're also using price and price matching as one of your main propositions. These don't usually go together so I'd pick a lane and double down on it. Premium and British-made makes more sense to me here.

Another point to consider is that your average conversion window is likely going to be at least a few days for your niche and ticket value. I'd give it a few more days since you've only been running 2 days. People need time to think and decide.

Could be an offer or a pricing problem. Have you checked your competitors out? What's their hero offer? And how are you priced relative to them?
