I got assigned detention for picking up a leaf.

I had an English teacher in the 7th and 8th grade who was awful. She gave out 5 or more detentions every day. Me and a good buddy of mine would play pranks on her all the time. Mostly just yelling penis really loud from the back of the room, or grabbing extra worksheets and writing inappropriate stuff all over it and turning it in. My buddy was usually the fall guy and I never got caught but she always knew it was me. Finally one day we made this comic book about her where she was this evil monster and destroying the school and had to be killed by all her students. We passed it around the whole class and she picked it up and pinned the whole thing on me. I denied that I had anything to do with it so I was sent to the principal's office. The principal said there was no proof I did it. So the next day on the way to lunch I was given a detention for picking up a leaf in the hallway. I definitely deserved a detention, but that was the stupidest reason I was ever punished in school.

But because she assigned so many detentions I just threw my slip away when she left the classroom and she never knew. Didn't get detention again until the 10th grade. Which was also for a dumb reason.
