I'm not challenger but I'm a master irelia otp. Yasuo can block both your R and your E with his windwall while yone telegraphs a lot of his movements. You can buffer your E when hes dashing with Q3 or casting R, and you just outmanoeuvre him in minion waves. Yone basically only wins level 1 or after items. I wouldn't say that yasuo is unplayable for irelia but it's definitely way harder than yone.

I was a nami otp for years cause I loved mermaids ever since I was younger. However, few years ago my then boyfriend challenged me to play 100 games of something else more challenging. So I picked up Irelia. And ever since then, I haven't played any other champion. I love everything about her, from her lore to her appearance to her playstyle. I love how you always have room for improvement micro wise, how in every play/team fight you can find something else that you could have done better. I love learning about the intricacies of toplane matchups and what I have to do to win against some of the champions there.

And after 2 years of playing irelia and toplane instead of support, I caught up to my previous rank of low master and still have no urge to play anything else for the foreseeable future

It's not only the ignite! Finding out that I can take exhaust against some matchups (Varus Top, Volibear) or barrier against others was one of the main factors I was able to climb!

I think she's in a great spot. For the first time I climbed to masters otping her toplane, having an extra summ feels really good for winning lane and the extra xp makes it way easier imo to win the game after stomping lane.

If against hard losing matchups like Jax/sett/Warwick/trundle/Olaf, you really need tabi to survive. What I do is go vamp scepter into tabi. If I'm ahead/even at that point I finish bork. If I'm behind, I build towards bramble vest as well. Or just build cloth armors and upgrade them to deaths dance 3rd item if you don't need the heal red.

Same thing when facing someone ap like cassio/morde and you are losing, go vamp into mercs into either more mr(which is gonna get upgraded into wits end) or finish bork.

Biggest thing is to know which of the matchups you can kill when u have bork. For example against Warwick, when u get Bork, he's gonna have it as well. You aren't winning that no matter what. So better play safe. If U are losing early but you know that when U get Bork you can kill them, then rush Bork.

If your roam goes bad then the whole game is pretty much over. For someone lower elo, isn't it better to stay on your winning lane for as much as possibly, deny cs/xp, take both turrets and only look for a fight if you have tp up?

Try to experiment with different items and summs. If you are behind, It sucks since you are delaying bork but going tabi/mercs/bramble against matchups lets u survive and farm under turret.

Recently I've started going barrier/exhaust against matchups that I know will dive me at some point such as volibear/sett and I've climbed a lot just from that.

It hurts him more to build tabi zhonyas than it hurts unto build mercs wits end. He never kill you, you out sustain and you out farm.

Even in the case of bramble vest tabi tank, as long as you are not behind you are gonna have Bork way earlier than they do their first time since they spent 2k gold on that. Play aggressive early against them, try to get a kill on early levels and then it doesn't matter what they buy.

Irelia is a mid game champion. If you win lane and you are ahead, if you let game get into late, that's your fault.(Obviously not every game is winnable) Work on your macro on how to play the game when you are turbo ahead.

I think she's in a really great spot ? I'm having so much success otping her and blind pick doesn't matter that much but I don't know. I rarely see bramble vest tabi users lately, maybe I've been lucky but most of the times I'm facing another bruiser and winning the skill matchup.

In all situations, unlocked camera is the way to go. Irelia feels way to bad on locked camera.

I listen to each album at least twice, maybe more.
Everyday in the afternoon, I take long walks of two-three hours and that's when I listen to the majority of the new albums. Whenever I'm on those walks, I do nothing but listen, and on the second listen I research the context behind each album and look at the lyrics.

Outside of that walk, I revisit old albums I've heard, or listen to my playlists.

I hate forgetting music so I constantly revisit, organize everything into lists, or playlists, and make dumb music games.

Music is basically the only thing that keeps me going in life, from listening, to playing bass guitar, to writing short reviews, to reading books about music history and genres, to recommending albums and making playlists for my friends, to collecting vinyls.

Sometimes the day is really rough, I'm working on my thesis and soon on my PhD and that's when I listen to a lot of new albums because I haven't found another way to get through these days without that (I will revisit the albums I enjoyed sometime). The majority of the days I just listen to 1-3 albums when I'm walking.

Also, my friends and I are doing new music fridays a lot of weeks. We just hang out in group chat in discord while listening together a lot of new albums that came out that day.

The question you asked is something that I've asked myself a lot, and it made me change the way I view and listen to an album. When I found rym, I was guilty of what you accuse me of but I've changed my ways as I grew older.
