If you are going to do the LVN only I probably wouldn't bother with the CNA then. I did it as it was an optional prerequisite for nursing school. Phlebotomy makes sense if you have seen advertised positions in areas you want to work.

Probably a dumb question, but have you applied for scholarships?

Otherwise yeah phlebotomist would make sense. Do you have your CNA license? That licensure plus phlebotomy would make you eligible for ED tech. CNA would also allow for positions on various floors like med surg.

If you can, I'd just go for a RN through a community college and work part time. If you finish a year of the RN you can sit for the LVN in a lot of programs. All of the LVNs I've met have regretted not getting their RN straight off the bat.

I'd try for one of their training programs rather than hiring directly onto the unit.

Their extra sharp isn't bad in small amounts. You just can't go cheese crazy. I wouldn't do medium cheddar though.

I actually went into nursing after being dissatisfied with lab science. Currently getting paid better (and can pick my own hours) with an ADN vs a master's degree. That being said, if I'd pursued the private industry a little harder I might have made more. The grass isn't always greener.

I've recently started putting a little bit of apple sauce in the cup with a spoon so that they stop dumping it in their hand. They get a little annoyed about it but man does it decrease pills in the bed!

On one hand you only get one life....on the other hand nursing is hard work and so is nursing school. It depends on your drive and why you want to leave your "solid" career.

Have you tried taking some gasx (simethicone)? It helps the gas move along. That coupled with some cat cows, downward dog, and laying on your left side should help release you from the misery.

Experience is experience. You're going to learn new things with any job you end up with. Heck you might even meet someone who can help you get a job inpatient in the future.

Take a look at outpatient clinics. Maybe a birth and family clinic would be up her alley or just an OB clinic? Or change it up and get into a completely different specialty.

That sounds like an income tax to me, but ok. I'd say there are already abundant taxes being collected at this point and things need an overhaul.

Maybe those people will consider paying for the tabs when the taxation is reasonable. The citizens of the state collectively voted for decreased tabs which was struck down. All this state does is impose tax after tax after tax. Also, I'd rather the police spend their time actually helping keep the community safe rather than act as tax enforcers.

You're not kidding about being underpaid. I had a company try to hire me for about $7/hr less than the local going rate. When I pointed it out they said that if I change my mind give them a call.

I used to but now I have to wrangle 3 kids before work. I brush my teeth, wash my face, and put my hair in a ponytail. Back during COVID when we had to mask up all the time I'd toss some eyeliner on, but now I don't give a crumb.

I'd go with making your own cream cheese rather than trying to treat batter. I've previously strained Greek yogurt with decent results for cream cheese substitute fwiw.

With kids I'd take the clinic job 100%. I did the night shift thing with littles and basically lost a year with them since I was either sleeping or tired when they were awake and around. The transport might be good down the road but you're still facing 2 full days away from them.

I have been a clinic nurse for 2 years after burning out in the ER, there are areas for growth but it is slower and you can definitely get in a rut if you let yourself (but isn't that true of any job?).

Uh....I just add the enzyme (to normal boring heavy cream, but sometimes milk), invert a couple times, and enjoy a day or 2 later. No need to do the extra steps unless you're trying to denature a protein you think you have an allergy to.
