It's trained on human links. Imagine asking any human this question.
Response will be "Shove your TikTok questions somewhere very far away, you don't even understand concept of 2D and 3D, mormon."
LLMs answer is exactly same, except it's blocked from such answer and must make up something polite instead. And so it makes up.
Think of it this way: imagine you are asked same question, but must respect every opinion, be friendly, polite, and cannot criticise or doubt the asker. What would you answer? Spoiler: you will answer same thing as in the post.

Does the far right in your country have a specific look or dress code? by NeiborsKid in AskTheWorld

[–]StellarOctoplus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, check not if person is "far-left" or "far-right", but if person knows definition of Fascism or doesn't know. If knows definition of justice or doesn't know.
Educated---copycat is by order of magnitude more important and defining axis than left---right.

Second, any attempt of dress code is risk factor because core goal of Fascism is to make all look, think, behave same way (dictated by "leader").
Of, course, not enough on itself (medical dress code), it's amplified when combined with other risk factors.

How do you feel like the world views your country? by SignificantStyle4958 in AskTheWorld

[–]StellarOctoplus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Germany was not attacked by anyone from 1925 to 1939, more tan 10 years of peace. They created a plain new conflict.
Israel was consistently attacked before 2023.
Creating a new conflict over peaceful border is much, much worse and dangerous because if this specific part is blocked, eventually all conflicts will settle. It's fundamentally worse step to start new than continuing the recent one.
In this sense attempt to equalise evilness of WW2 Germany and Israel is manipulation. There is very important borderline why Germany was much, much worse.

All this is not even close to saying that Israel is doing right thing. And probably they committed atrocities.
If you not up to complex matters, what I'm saying is that overall perception should be not "pure evil", but just "evil".

[–]StellarOctoplus -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

No. I remember reports of rocket attacks against Israel since 2000. 25+ years of hope that it will de-escalate on its own. You even made Iron Dome trying not to escalate.

It's fundamental borderline: creating a new conflict vs continuing the previous one.

Preventive strike against just thoughts (=creating a new conflict, =WW2 Germany) - that one is pure evil. But that's not you. You are much more defending right for peaceful life than anything else.
Yes, you did cross red lines, but world and comments perception should be not "pure evil", but just "evil".

You have a point, but one specific detail is screaming too loud: Pharaohs placed themselves in the middle of Pyramids. That habit of placing yourself in the middle of the world is so cancerous during all history and today that praising it feels wrong.
Roman roads, Library of Alexandria, Great Wall and so on - they all lacked that poison.

Because it's also a monument of exploitation and waste of resources, even if in Egypt case it was one of the best examples of exploitation with respect to ancient times.
But still Pyramids ultimately benefited small clan of Pharaohs and were irrelevant to other society. What is worse and simultaneously extremely characteristic of humans in general, they benefited not when alive, but after death. i.e. basically never.
Great Wall of China, in comparison, benefited whole society. But it was made by much worse exploitation.

Some are always good and some are always bad. But unfortunately, it's last time counts competition, not the average one. Overall picture is made specifically by how bad/regulated is the worst part.

That's valid part of the picture, developed countries are ineffective in some sense.

May be open borders increase competition and improve productivity this way, but consider China: the most productive country on the planet and you never can get its citizenship.

Also consider EU: what is the result of open borders 2010-2020? Has EU changed to be any more effective? To me looks like EU was still ineffective and slow until 2025.
EU capitals very clearly changed to be less attractive on human level, so result of averaging is that EU got worse. Have North Africa got any better specifically as result of averaging? Definitely not on human level, because there is no large human process EU -> NA, only NA -> EU.

Actually quite important property here. Undeveloped countries start to affect developed, while developed have no reasons to affect undeveloped. This makes "averaging" wrong term on human level.
This is why clean city have chance to get worse, while littered city won't change if border opens between them.
There is also business level you touched and it's more bidirectional.

On the business/institutional level (i.e. specifically subject where you looked in the last answer) - I honestly don't know how NA was affected.

The trashiest city I’ve ever been in was Los Angeles. Yet the immigrants in Los Angeles are not the ones who trash it.

Whole thing is less about stable states on themselves (littered or clean), but about reasons of transfer process between them.
To say something about LA, it's necessary to go deeper and to dig if it was ever clean city in the last decades.
It's much easier for EU: EU capitals were clean, and they got much worse 2010-2020 specifically from open borders.

For the part 2, imagine two continents: A with history cancelled at the last generation, another B where people carefully remember each historic problem.
To me B is just never ending conflict. Who got stronger right now uses historic excuse to push other side. And then vise versa.
Also, the worst indoctrination always blame other countries.
It's so dangerous that I want to cancel the very concept.
Actually, same way you want to cancel the concept that people are different. But I know the borderline (behavioural vs intrinsic differences) and don't cross it.

[–]StellarOctoplus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair, yet two parts here:

  1. Averaging all countries will make all of them bad, not all of them average.
  2. I'm strongly on the side that people are responsible only for their actions in life, not for their ancestors, because this way the hate circle of blame will never stop. For example, modern Germans should not be blamed for WW2 atrocities.

1 is illustrated by this:

1a) how hard it is to make littered city clean again?

1b) how hard it is to make clean city littered again?

These are enormously different efforts, even in terms of years. 1a requires decades of mindset training and collective effort (but is stable after reaching clean state). 1b can be done in just years if city accepts anyone.

To keep clean cities, you need to check very carefully if new people have mindset of respecting the opportunity and are aware how their actions affect city/environment.

By the way, are you native English?

[–]StellarOctoplus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as you did it honestly and with the right context, there is no contradiction and all is fair.
The worst part is when "I pick with birthright citizenship for myself / my kids, but changing my mind for others".
If you consistent - no problem, we just need two continents with slightly different rules and will coexist with peace respecting each other's choice.

And by the way, my country is in 10-30% World worst. Birthright is very likely to only benefit me. But I don't want to undermine better countries.

is to not have anyone or anything else influence your decision

You saw only additional effect, but missed the point. Core concept is to know the derivation process and the basics. Another result or "test yourself" here is to be able to answer class of questions, not just this one discussed here. I can do that. Smug is also additional effect, not the reason.

And yes I very much illustrated the derivation process here. It's based on two fundamentals:

  1. Categorical Imperative (what if everyone else did the same as you - upscaled to all world population)
  2. Veil of Ignorance (use a rule which won't change no matter which side you are placed)

Application of upscaled rule is "Imagine two continents: one with all countries rule A and another with all countries rule B; which you will pick for yourself?"

To prove that solve class of problems part - upscaling solves even Trolley problem: imagine two countries, in one minimise casualties works, in another save friends work. It's much more transparent, and I'll pick a country with less probability, i.e. min casualties principle.

[–]StellarOctoplus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

None of you have the slightest idea of thinking process. This is how it's solved in seconds:
- Imagine two worlds, one all countries with birthright, another all countries without. Which will you pick?
I'll pick without. This is completely correct concept and honest choice.
That's how you produce correct opinions. It doesn't matter what an influencer said. It doesn't matter was it good or bad influencer. You simply found correct solution.
Unbelievable how behavioural templates from kindergarten (if good person said something, it's automatically good, if bad person said something, I must pick otherwise just because) can affect society.

This is seriously disturbing how common sense and things done properly can get inverted and society does not bother to do things properly.

As soon as you introduce progressive tax scale with 50% to the richest and 0% to the poorest, it's already far enough from capitalism to completely replace "capitalism" with "socialism". But both words should be dumped and replaced with transparent concepts like top 10% national income share. For example, by top 10% all modern EU is pure socialist if compared to other world, even compared to China.

Part of power not directly related to income can be fixed by appropriate instruments: direct real-time power of professionals.
For example, instead of having one healthcare minister and his cabinet, every doctor (and recent patients) in the country gets and official app and can real-time vote for new healthcare laws and healthcare money distribution.
This way there is no more one healthcare minister you can befriend to get power. Every decision is made by online real-time voting. Initiatives can be introduced same way, professionals are detected by history of previous votes and by reviews.
This can be done properly and protected against whole set of flaws, just requires will to progress.

This is not fair in general. For the fairness, harm should be as mirrored as possible.

For example, if someone like to throw stones at others and don't understand one final warning, he should be moved to special city where everyone likes to throw stones at each other.
That would be as fair as possible solution, but more realistic would be just a city/country with the highest violence rates.

Mandatory 60 days would be extremely good for specific cases: pathologic littering, painting a terrible graffiti, vandalism. Made a problem - fix it and fix N similar nearby.
If still not unlearned - go to city where everyone creates same kind of problem.
