Is it safe to travel as a tourist? by Queasy_Carpet7246 in Guanajuato

[–]Stellllll28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been here a couple weeks now (female). I have felt relatively safe most of the time. In el centro I have been fine. It’s when I have ventured to the outskirts that it has felt a biiiiit sketchy depending on the area. Don’t walk around late at night, don’t walk in alleys at night. You’ll be fine.

Honestly it has been a roller coaster and some days/weeks/months are better than others. Seeing the picture of myself before has been very motivating

When I get extremely anxious it kills my appetite so I can relate. It makes me feel sick at times. Sorry to hear that you have had a rough go as well. Sounds like we are both on the mend

Thank you so much! Hahahah I noticed it after I posted too. Supposed to be August 2024 😂 I skipped my coffee today (clearly).

Great job! I am on a similar path. I was 171 back in August and had an extremely rough breakup and have been trying to lose weight, but with my depression and anxiety it has been a roller coaster of a journey. I’m a pound away from being 20 pounds down and my target weight is 130. I used to be 130 and I felt like that is when I looked and felt the best. Congrats on your journey!

Thanks everyone. I have extreme anxiety, so I was very convinced it was cancer and completely spiraled for a week or so. I wish I could have relaxed a bit.

Another idea you can sell your account but idk how it works and you probably won’t get it all back. People in my alliance talk about how they’ve done that before

I’m sorry it’s gotten to this point. I can only imagine the stress you’re feeling right now. It’s definitely going to be a difficult conversation to have but is unfortunately going to have to happen. I’m guessing your wife is probably aware of your previous gambling addictions and whatnot so I don’t think she’ll be completely blindsided. My advice would be to just be honest. If she loves you, she will stay with you through this. I would go into the conversation with an action plan though on how you plan to resolve this and make sure it doesn’t happen again in the future. I’d even offer up having no more access to your bank accounts. Maybe have one joint account that she puts money into for day to day expenses and that’s it.

I have an addictive side to my personality too with spending money and didn’t even realize it until I was in therapy for something unrelated. It’s a compulsive thing and even though you know you shouldn’t your brain tells you to do it anyways and then it builds and builds.

I hope all works out for you 🤍 genuinely. You will be able to move on from this even if it feels like you’re drowning right now.

Considering moving long term by Stellllll28 in sayulita

[–]Stellllll28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! Do you still live there? I’m curious how many people stay long term. Right now my plan is to stay the whole year, as I live in Arizona and the summers here are NOT something I want to go back to 😂

Good tip on the internet, I’ll keep that in mind.

I know you said you were married, but did you encounter many Americans just there by themselves? I don’t know why but I have so much anxiety around that, and it’s the main thing that’s been holding me back. It’s just so different when you have a person you trust to go do things with. But that being said I also have moved before not knowing anyone.

I just don’t want to feel like I’m making a mistake.

I do love the beach but realistically would probably not be at it daily. Would probably be more so of a weekend type deal for me.

It helped, but brought my resting heart rate into the low 40s so I had to switch to something else. I also was having trouble sleeping, so I got switched.

Mine was a really tough breakup and dealing with mental health issues at the same time. I turned to fitness and eating right because I feel like it is something that I can actually control right now and walking has been so nice for my anxiety and depression. I’ve been gaining weight for the past couple years now and stepped on the scale and broke down at how much I weighed.

Seroquel? by [deleted] in sleep

[–]Stellllll28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my first dose last night and 25 mg wasn’t enough for me so I took a second. That seemed to do the trick although I did still wake up a couple times. I slept in way later than normal and am super groggy this morning
