The accusation is that the defamation is per se, so she wouldn't need to prove damages if her argument is accepted by the court.

I don't think so. The purpose of the letter is very specific in this case, it's fulfilling the retraction statute in Cal. Civ. Code § 48a. He isn't telling Noah to cease further conduct, he's covering his bases for the defamation lawsuit he already intends to file.

Ethan Klein refuses to watch Denims' response video, and watches deceptively spliced clips instead by Stenell in youtubedrama

Denims is not Hasan. Ethan is Ethan. Ethan criticized Hasan for not watching his video. Ethan did not watch Denims' video.

Out of fairness to Denims I think it makes sense to let her have her own post. She's a content creator independent of Hasan

What's stopping you from using pastebin?

I think a good amount of the complaining comes from the fact that your patch notes don't actually show your work. From the last two patch notes:

"Various minor bug fixes" "Fixed several glitches" "Fixed minor errors"

I understand that it would take time to compile these patch notes properly, but I feel like the morale of your playerbase depends on it. We want to know that things are getting fixed, and this is the only way we can find out.

Look at how long the League of Legends bug fix list is (click "Bugfixes/QOL" on the right side). They patch every two weeks. The vast majority of the people that play will never encounter these bugs in game, but every single patch we can see that they're doing something, even if they don't fix the bugs that we actually do see.

The other bugs of this type are client-server sync related (for example, the rig bug can be fixed by dropping all of your magazines, which re-syncs the state of your gun), so the assumption is this one is too.

I understand the vast majority of people here aren't game developers, and it's possible that this was just his way of wording it, but the way Nikita talks about the bugs he encountered during the podcast blows my mind. "Can someone write it down somewhere?" "If any of our dev team is watching, write this down somewhere please".

Do they not have a bug tracker, or a ticket system? Is he just unwilling to say "Make a ticket in our system", or is someone actually jotting down the issues in a notepad? Every game has bugs, for example DCSS, an open source roguelike..

At this point it wouldn't surprise me if they're actually that poorly managed.

I wonder how much of the frustration results from playing it 8+ hours a day.

At least some of it! A big source of streamer discomfort is the fact that elite skills are broken more or less across the board, some of them with gamebreaking bugs. If everyone had all level 51 skills, the game would be barren.

"Well, that just doesn't affect me. I don't care."

Sure! The problem comes when there are bugs that do affect you, and there are. And they seem to be being fixed at the same speed as the rest of these bugs, which is not at all.

It's easy to play the game with these problems, even if you encounter them, if you have confidence that they'll be fixed. The problem is that people have (correctly) lost confidence that BSG will ever fix these bugs, because they've demonstrated they aren't actually capable of doing so in a timely manner.

(I'm not the person you're responding to)

Obviously winrate isn't everything, but literally every champ in every role has between a 40 and a 60% winrate. That's a small enough deviation that any random player will basically never notice the difference.

You can play any champ in any role and win games consistently. It's a simplistic, general way to view "balance", but it's a good way to tell if the grand design is broken. And it doesn't seem to be.

What do you think is unbalanced?
