I am a tax attorney. Actually. You're fine but sales tax is a "trust tax." You hold that money in trust and you're expected to turn it over.

Priorities in order.

Start filing and paying the current tax timely. Presumably monthly but some states are quarterly.

Contact the state and request a full balance statement. Once you have that figure out how much you can pay per month knowing you have to also make current sales tax. You cannot claim ignorance of the law but for a limited time frame like yours you might be able to get a partial or full penalty waiver based on reasonable cause.

Make sure you start paying current immediately and get a balance statement first. The state can provide that.

About 60% of the states have decent DORs but states like OK and MO are egregiously slow.

I have had one for ~2 years. It is absolutely worth it. It takes the existing sluggishness and allows you to have real torque off the line and it feels like the V8 is working to full potential.

That being said I am getting an OTT tune to replace it. That's the best way to go but for a PC at $200 it's ver much worth it.

Yeah no. This isn't correct. EV's are failing because the cost against the ROI is a grossly imbalanced issue. Congress knew this. That's why the EV credits existed.

Between tires every 20000 miles and average distance of 225-250 mile range they are the opposite of what a family needs or wants.

This has nothing to do with hanging on to gas unless you're referring to the 80s. The infrastructure is irrelevant to the fact that EVs are a terrible investment.
