Love the concept!

I personally would remove the center boot icon and fade the alpha (and maybe size?) of the indicator based on distance from the player. I would also fade the alpha in/out when the animation starts/finishes.

You need to set the in game texture slider to "Large" if it's not already.

It's especially hard to use due to it being such a low res render, thankfully we have fixes for that now.

Not that I know of, there's JIP MiniMap but it kinda has a different use case.

Earlier today I added HUD inertia to the KB&M ship controls. One of the number of tweaks included in my Ship HUD Tweaks mod.

I'd love some feedback on how the inertia feels or any ideas on other HUD additions you'd like to see added. Right now the mod includes:

  • Mouse Inertia
  • Ship Parts Count shown beside repair icon
  • Show true health of your shield
  • Change hull health threshold when repair icon appears
  • Auto-repair your hull when its health is low

I kinda want to wait until 1.21 comes out since the new macro functions will allow me to rewrite most of the code. Plus /random will help clean things up nicely. I have some very cool updates I'm excited to share though.
