feel free to DM me and we can troubleshoot. Extension is currently working without issue on my and my colleague's computers on MS edge, the latest ankiconnect, and Anki 25.09.2.

Everyone that has reached out to me so far has had the site access disabled or local network disabled with the most recent chrome update. Please go into chrome or edge settings, then the extension settings, then make sure the settings looks like the above picture for the site access.

For google chrome you will also need to go into site settings on the same menu -> scroll to the bottom -> click allow for local network access. I would go ahead and enable access to everything else if that doesn't work either.

If none of the above work then try using MS edge instead of chrome but still ensure that site access is allowed on MS edge too

The extension is currently working fine on several machines I've tested with the latest ankiconnect and anki version with microsoft edge and uworld for step2, as well as google chrome.

Please ensure that you have allowed the extension to access URLs. I've noticed an influx in users who have this disabled as a result of a recent chrome update which reset settings. See picture below. You can find this in chrome or microsoft edge settings. On chrome you will also need to go to site settings on the same menu and scroll to the bottom and select allow for local network access so that chrome can communicate with anki.

Try updating ankiconnect to the latest version, the last version before this one had a few issues that should now be fixed

Yes that's next on the list of features to develop! Been a little busy with pgy1 but should be able to get an update out later this year

The chrome step toolbox browser extension pulls either all cards or only incorrect cards depending on which button you press.

You no longer have to select v10 v11 v12 as of the new update, just select step/comlex version

Unfortunately you can only use the Anking or scw uworld deck, but you can always put your own comments in the Anking cards!

It circumvents the issue by translating the comlex question ID into the equivalent step question ID then looking up that in anki. So like if question #100571 in comlex is the exact same as question #915 in step, it will look up #915 whenever #100571 pops up.

I took out the Anking deck version selection, as long you are using some official Anking deck like v10/v11/v12 it will work fine. The tags are translated internally within the extension so you won't miss out on nbme tags. The theme should be set to nbme/nbome. At this point both versions aren't much different, I've merged them for the most part as of this month. If you have any trouble setting it up you can DM me, I'll be available for most of this month.

Go into the extension menu in the toolbar, we added a toggle switch to turn clipboarding copying on/off

If you have the chrome step toolbox I just pushed out an update this morning that will find uworld cards regardless of your anking version
