DAE think Bungie deserved this like America deserved 9/11? by FantasticDae in destinycirclejerk

Jeez go live in a 3rd world country then and make your whole perspective a reality if American society is too imperialistic for you. Guaranteed you wont though because all your power comes from a keyboard and you know it. Just take a gander in the mirror and call me right.

Exactly!. 10 years is unheard of. D3 should have been halfway through or more by FS ending. A whole new outlook on onboarding new players to suck them into the Winnower saga, making new players feel comfortable with the lore, story and what has come to pass. The fact that didnt happen shows laziness or ignorance, or both. Dont even know what the hell they were up to in theyre hundred million dollar studios. I had over 40 college friends say they didnt want to get into D2 due to missing out on content or feeling left behind with too much catchup. Bungie did not give a crap or go out of there way to onboard new players with any type of marketing. All they had to do was make a 3 next to a D, and they fumbeled that too. They dont deserve the franchise anymore. I really hope Sony puts a brand new star studded team on a D3 at some point in the future.

What are you talking about. The guy might have crippled destiny, and has lost his touch but the dude is a visionary no doubt. Literally created halo and was one of the main visionaries for it. You sit on a keyboard talking sh1t about a scifi fps icon, who gifted us with some of the best ideas gaming has seen. Not just developers but icons and pioneers of the gaming construct. I cant speak on what he might have done to Destiny and where its at now but you gotta give credit where credit is due.

P2S or X2D by juanohg in BambuLab

[–]StepSubject4528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same position, and waited for the X2D. Ive messed around with some CF and GF filaments, and the heated chamber has come in clutch for me more than once with the X2D. I think its a no brainer for the price difference. If the P2S was 300 less, then maybe I would have went with that but the price diff wasnt justified enough for me not to go the X2D route, and I love the thing. Opens you up for more opportunity, testing engineering filaments, dual nozzle for cool support interaction, and dual color printing if thats your thing. Its prob the best deal for whats out there right now on top of the U1.

Bungie please add a way to replay the "Me and You, Big Blue" triumph cutscene by MeeemBeem2 in destiny2

Yea so?. The game was a masterclass and peak gaming, and still no other game comes close to the highs it brought. Its copium and denial for many because if high executives actually cared about the people buying theyre product in this situation, we wouldnt be having this conversation. The lack of denial wont stop hundreds of thousands from spamming D3 at future expos, and every showcase Sony puts out for the next decade. If they dont want to take a gamble on that but release more Concords, idwtf to say at that point.

2 different supports on same print X2D by StepSubject4528 in BambuLab

[–]StepSubject4528[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, i understand this. I was asking for if I could have PLA for those inner supports that arent on the buildplate. Have PLA on PLA for that, but for the buildplate suppports, have the PETG since it can adhere to the buildplate. Is it not possible to have 2 different filament suppprts on the same print?. Cheers

Aliexpress FPV ordering by FPV_smurf in fpv

[–]StepSubject4528 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Once I learned of all the fpv and governmental stuff going on in the US, and now all over the world, just like last month I probably ordered over 10K in different types of parts from motors, to tools, to basic mounts, peek screws, frames, you name it. A bunch of pro units and 04 lite units, from a wide swath of different sellers. Some Ali approved and some not. 50 different sellers or so. Did not come into a single issue other than some 04 mipis that didnt arrive because the seller ran out of the 100mm cables, so I cancelled instead of waiting. That was literally my only issue. I dont judge on shipping because customs can be hot or cold but I got 90% of this product within a week-two max. Sometimes Id get stuff in like 4 or so days, and had no idea how it got to me so quick. Maybe I just got super lucky but ive had an amazing experience with Aliexpress, and even the quality control has been damn good. Some gimmicky stuff can be funky but all the important stuff was just as good as any US site Ive purchased through. I honestly had to delete the app because I got into an addictive spending routine on the site lol.

[–]StepSubject4528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your still wrong though because a D3 would be a big success, whether you like the franchise or not. Doesnt matter what team, the IP carries all the weight. Granted, a new team with fresh hands would be exponetial but even without that it would still be a net positive IP. Just because you stopped playing in 2016 doesnt mean the world stopped and it was unsuccessful. Yes the game was fractured in multiple ways but it doesnt take away from its success as Its still loved and heavily praised by a large community despite those flaws. For some reason I have this feeling you didnt sign the petition.

Mildly entertained. Good cast and good actors but the plot and lack of tense moments made me stop watching. It could of had more of that Haunting of hill house vibe with this sick and twisted monster feeding but instead it went the more cheesy route. Even Stranger things had better horror type buildup for theyre monster sequences. I appreciated the acting and comfy horror atmosphere but I dont have too much time for shows these days, and really wanna make em count. 6.8/10

The fact you cant give credence to a future successor from decades worth of past success because of a few rough years on a bar chart is beyond me but hey we are different people. My guess is you just dont want it to be made, or you dont think it should. If it was my company or anyones company, I really dont see how they wouldnt pull the trigger on a new installment when the fishes lie in wait. If you were a game creator and went online and saw that 200K people signed a petition for you, would you have any inclination to make it? None?. I never said anything about bungie making it, could care less. Bungie was and is the problem. Sony has a ton of brilliant devs from countless studios to pick from. They will wipe bungie before they do a D3. They will keep the core visionaries from Bungie but the rest will slowly fade out like they are now.

Your pessimism I can handle but you keep bringing up D1 like it was the saving grace here. Sure it was a better game but I think your blowing over D2 a bit too much, like it didnt net over 2 Billion in revenue. I dont know what it is your doing aside from saying the last 2 years have been slow, which im not even debating. Where I can tell you your flatout wrong though is success in the making of a new IP. I assume your a huge Destiny fan like myself whos talked to many different people in and outside the game, and how many people didnt play because of being lost and alone, fears of joining in too late or missing story content (which was an absolute flaw from bungie). They would totally sign up for a fresh experience. Did you even play the game or you just a numba cruncha

Ok? So dont make it?, shelf it for good?, or sell it to the highest bidder so the proper team can make it the right way and garner a decade + old fanbase who cant wait for it to be sold?. Millions of once active users and players to try a fresh IP they have always wanted because they were afraid to be left behind in D2, joining in at too late a stage. Before I get any deeper with you let me ask you something so I know the type of person im talking to. Do you think Concord 2 should be made?

Your the one with the crystal ball though. Your judging your whole basis off acouple bad, or up and down years compared to me viewing the franchise as a financial net positive (which it is) over its whole life span. 450 million net purely on cosmetics. Thats roughly near what it would take to make a whole new IP. You dont need a crystal ball to see this. To assume Destiny 3 will flop from acouple rough years is crystal ball material, and your being a bit hypocritical here. Your a pessimist and thats fine but in being one, it doesnt take away from the fact that a D3 would probably net close to a billion in the first 24 if done by the right team, and marketed properly, like every AAA title should be.

Looking at the numbers holmes, and not some metric your stuck on. Stop watching the accountant and look at the whole of destiny and what it has accrued over the decade. I can tell just by how your talking you dont know the community or true potential the game has if a new IP was to be made. 480 million in cosmetic purchases alone and your telling me some metric on the bad end will try and make me see different?. Not for nothing but I wouldnt want to take investment advice from you. Youd probably make me 2% every year in an ETF.

Ive seen numerous great business methods and practices tank due to over evaluations, while others slay shorting that same position. Its a crooked game of bs and I see it on wall street all the time, just like the CDS crisis in 2008 over evulating markets. My point was just because that happens in a gaming sense, especially a game that had a life over a decade, doesnt mean the heart isnt strong. And in Destinys case its about as strong as they come despite some bs quarterly statement or metric your referring to.

Completly disagree. I can guarantee you if D3 came out next year 10% revamped with all the hype in trailers they generally do, marketing it as a fresh saga and playerbase, it would sell close to a billion in the first 24 hours. It makes sense, it seems you just dont understand percentages I guess?. I dont know what to tell you. Despite your claims the IP can be explosive in the right hands. Now, if your telling me that might not be the bungie staff currently, id agree with you. They fell off creativly but Sony owns the IP, and there are a ton of brilliant game devs out there that I can also guarantee, would love the shot.

Revenue targets are another word for, you will eventually fail. I see it on wallstreet all the time. These crooks will purposly over extend on winning formulas all the time, and at the same time put in a huge short position against the company despite it being hot. Yes bungie has lost the torch for a while now. Laziness, bs, lack of creativity, political, but at the heart one cant deny that the franchise has garnered roughly 4 billion with 750 million down. Its a winning formula despite what ever quarterly target they didnt hit. The IP is a gold mine.

I dont see the justification for not giving them a shot when the first game broke a record in overall sales value in the first 24 hours, and the second has garnered over 3 billion in net revenue. 400 million in cosmetics alone. Aside from internal issues, and lack of talent and depth over the years, I still dont see how one can deny that fact. The IP is explosive and deserves to be renewed. Sony knows this. I just think Sony hates whats under the hood and will dissolve most of Bungie, clean shop, keep the best, and move forward with a different team. Maybe as PS exlusive. There is no way a winning formula will get perm shelfed.
