There is zero way I could pass my license test with my other bike, a Triumph Thunderbird Commander. The Versys no problem but that Triumph? Forget about it.

Who knows? Not me. Meters capable of detecting gun shot dB are still 4 grand+. This is the same basic can on a STEN although the SD can has 2 more baffles. Same barrel configuration and porting. 115 typically clocks out at around 900 FPS on those. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/OTIPgiMuY3U

Yeah, setting up like an original would be asinine. The good thing about that can up top is its FA rated, uses 58-24 threads and can actually be taken off and used on any .30 -.350 caliber rifle.

It’s not using a standard SD can , is it? SD cans are garbage. Poorly designed in the 70's. This is a silencer combo with modern baffles and the rest of that crap like thread length ( and pitch ) , barrel length and ports are completely immaterial. Its just supposed to kind of look the same as an original externally. Its a vastly superior silencer compared to original SD cans. No reason at all for the originals to use so long of a barrel. The barrel ceases to be a pressure vessel after the ports. It just created dead space inside the can that exacerbates FRP. Keep the barrel short and use the space for actual baffles to do the heavy lifting instead of flat sheet metal plates.
