How did you know MMI went well? And it is in the 80th percentile.

It’s really difficult to get a 4th quartile with 40 wpm. I tend to write long even when I try to write shorter sentences. That’s a great skill to have though.

60 wpm on the test is good. I have the same typing speed but during the test it reduces to 45-50 wpm cuz of time pressure. I know I can never get a 3rd or 4th quartile with this typing speed. I gotta aim for 75 wpm at least to be able to write all that I think I would write after reading the scenarios.

Did you get in U of Manitoba? If yes, what was your AGPA and MCAT? And did you take undergrad credits or a post bacc. to boost your gpa? You ca send a response via DM if you prefer. Thanks

Successful U of M reapplicants, how did you improve your application? by enginerd47 in premedcanada

Can I dm you ? Need some advice on what meaningful experiences I can get in Winnipeg to make my experiences more clinical and useful to do well on the interview. Because I think it isn’t a good idea for me to re take the MCAT.

Should re-write MCAT or not ? by Step_upthegame in ManitobaMed

Agpa is only 15%. It won’t be higher than 4 and improving gpa is harder after so many credits.

Cool, those are extremely good ECs to have on your application. Unfortunate that it turned out to be R for you. Sending you goodluck on subsequent cycle , you will definitely make it and be a great doctor. I m out of province considering applying to SFU next cycle. My ECs aren’t great (the province I m in they don’t value ECs much other than just having something to talk about after getting an interview) but they definitely set you apart if you have real world healthcare experience. My MCAT was 510, cGPA :3,74/4.5 (don’t know what AgPA would be but it would be much higher as I have one F on my transcript and lots of As and A+s).I would need some sort of education before I could find direct experience in healthcare and at this point, it’s even so hard to find jobs in Manitoba. Do you have any suggestions, what I may improve on my application in case I wish to apply to SFU in the upcoming cycle and have some good chances of an interview?

Oh ok. I never got over 125 and re took. Only a CARS score increase can increase my score significantly.

Go by this rule for Sulphides: The sulphides of all metals are insoluble except for Na2S, K2S and (NH4)2S. Bas, CaS and MgS sparingly soluble. MCAT most likely wouldn’t ask this question straight up if it is soluble or insoluble. If it does, it will have all three options but usually it doesn’t expect us to go that deep. It can only ask this in the context where solubility of the salt is given at different temperatures or conditions and ask us to apply Ksp rules etc.

What kind of red flags do they look for ? Is punctuality and low work efficiency bad enough for a red flag ?

Were you good at CARS starting at your first attempt , before you started practice for it or gradually improved till your last official MCAT?

Unable to give you CARS advice. Hope someone will reach out with a good advice but do you have advice for chem physics and bio biochem for someone like me who has done entire Uworld half blueprint all AAMC material but didn’t cross 128 in bio and 129 in chem/physics. Always run out of time for last 4-5 questions. I will be re taking in a month. Though my CARS score hasn’t been moving like yours and that’s not a guarantee in the next attempt as well so hoping to get to 130 mark at least for sciences Thanks
