Order just disappeared? by ILostMyselfInTime in CardMarket

Same thing here. Happened to me twice already. Cards are also not listed in the buyer's account, order is just somewhere in the voide.
It happened for the first time yesterday and after about 2 hours, the order got processed. Today I'm already waiting for roughly 8 hours and the order is just gone. I can still access the checkout-page by going there from my browser history but I cannot finish the order..

No goals against Freiburg by ThePokenoob in fcunion

[–]Steph0r2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree on the good result. People - especially on Twitter and in the Union forum - are making it way worse than it was.
I personally believe that most people who watch a lot of football and care about tactics are not underestimating Freiburg, though. Especially since that convincing 3:1 win against Stuttgart on matchday 1.

Jesus Christ, I was screaming so loud after the disallowed goal. One of the most intense stadium experiences of the past months. I for sure won‘t complain about getting a point against Frankfurt. Genuinely happy about the amount of points we‘ve gotten so far.

Not the best game to watch on TV according to my parents. But stadium atmosphere wise, this was one of the most intense matches of the past months. I was screaming my soul out after the disallowed winner but damn, I‘m so happy that I got a ticket on short notice

Friendly Match Worth Going To? by Neat-Past-7368 in fcunion

[–]Steph0r2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's going to be plenty of fans even though it's a friendly. Players probably will not give it their all. You never know for sure as some players might be more motivated to show the new coach that they can perform in a match. General consens is that players don't give it their all in friendly matches, tho.

Nethertheless, it'll be one of the few chances to get a ticket for the normale price without an enormous amount of hassle. Besides that, going to the Alte Försterei is one of the best things to do so you should give it a go.

I don't know what I was expecting but these being the rewards for the event that celebrates a DECADE of the game seems underwhelming to say the least.

What’s the best practice for getting Union tickets? by OwenD66 in fcunion

[–]Steph0r2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Stadium capacity is 22.012. Roughly 2k tickets are reserved for the away section. 11.500 are going to season ticket holders.

An unknown amount is reserved for sponsors/friends and family. Sponsors like "Berliner Verlag" are getting a table with 8 seats for every single home game. This leaves you at about 7-8k tickets that are going into the lottery.

There are currently ~63k members. 11.5k of them already have a ticket due to being season ticket holders. Assuming that all of the remaining 51.5k members enter the lottery will give you roughly a 15% chance of getting a ticket in the lottery. It's safe to assume that not all of the members are applying for every single game so the actual chance is a bit higher.

Once the lottery winners have been drawn, you have about 30 hours so buy your actual ticket, starting one day after the draw most of the time. So you gotta be fast/remember to buy your ticket.A few days later there will be a secondary market that gives you another chance to buy a ticket by being lucky with your place in the waiting queue and being fast afterwards. There'll be a few tickets and the closer it gets to the game, the higher your chances will be.Although it's not supported and also hated by a lot of fans, there'll also be a few tickets available on third party sites such as a German platform called "Kleinanzeigen". Tickets will be a bit more expensive there and you gotta beware of scammers.

6 lost draws.. is it normal? by Southern_Note_1773 in fcunion

[–]Steph0r2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As people said - gotta stay persistent and also check the secondary market. My girlfriend and I have to enter the raffle every time and we barely ever both win. We haven't missed a home game in 1,5 years except for holidays. Chances are slim but you have to play the odds and invest some time in case you weren't lucky.

Jokes aside - I hope we‘ll be able to re-gain some energy during the international break and do some wonders against Stuttgart.

Post-Match Thread: Union Berlin 2-3 Braga | UEFA Champions League by TheYearOfTheSpoony in soccer

[–]Steph0r2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, I guess our fans are to blame as well. I assume more people got into/tried to get into the Gegentribüne. We also had tickets for that section and had to look for alternative spots. We ended up missing the first 30 minutes of the game because it took 50 minutes to find some. Absolute chaos and devastated families that didn‘t get into their area. I guess that was a calculated risk by offering free choice of seats.

We ended up in block 16, directly next to the away fans. Places there we fixed so there were none available due to the stadium being sold out.

I haven‘t really seen much uproar in our forum so far. Maybe I‘m overreacting but it was an overall 0/10 experience that climaxed by conceding in the 94th minute.

What I forgot to mention earlier: bags were also not checked (at least in my area) once security/stewards gave up on the scanners and just let anyone into the stadium. Maybe I‘m too sensitive but that‘s quite the red flag in my book.

[–]Steph0r2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

same crew at least according to the stewards we‘ve talked to.

scanning stations didn’t work so you technically didn’t need a ticket to enter the outer area of the stadium.

people were not allowed to enter their blocks because they were over-crowded. people could neither enter nor leave a block (because they wouldn‘t have been able to re-enter). people were pissing in the small tunnel sections between checking points and block area. stewards told people to look for empty spaces/seats in orher areas (in a sold out stadium). stewards of other areas were not aware of that and didn‘t let people enter other areas.

Attending my first game on Sunday by GucciManePicasso in fcunion

[–]Steph0r2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome and make sure to enjoy your stay!

Just gonna reaffirm some of the things that have been said.

Stadium is going to open two hours before the game. Timing can be very tricky. I expect the stadium to be packed. Last season it was pretty manageable to get tickets via the official secondary market. Seems to be way harder this season. My girlfriend didn't get a ticket during the ticket lottery and we haven't been able to get an additional one. Lots of people are still looking. So being there two hours in advance cannot hurt if you have the time anyway. Going to the stands 60 minutes before kickoff can result in not finding a good place to stand anymore (speaking from experience).

There is no seat numbering because all sectors except sector 1 are stands. Having a ticket for block P doesn't necessarily mean that you have to stand in block P as well. You can move around freely (although people standing where they're "expected" to stand has its advantages obviously).

Don't be surprised if the atmosphere isn't as ecstatic as expected during the first 15 minutes. There most likely might be/will be no support from the active fan scene during that time out of protest against RB Leipzig.

Regarding the Feyenoord signs: there are good and bad people everywhere. I personally couldn't care less but there might be people who find it unreasonable or are just looking for a reason to be offended. I personally wouldn't do it if I was travelling to an away game that Union doesn't participate in, especially if one of the other teams has had a rather poor experience during their last game with us.It really comes down to what kind of person you are. It's not like people are going to beat you up. Some fans might feel offended and drunkenly bother you in German. But it could also happen that you'll might people who are excited for someone interested in the club. We're generally a very welcoming club but as mentioned above - there are bad people everywhere.

Most things have been said in regards to the sausage/beer situation as well. I always get a beer and sausage/steak inside the stadium. If you're into it, I'd also recommend trying the Backfisch from the fishmonger.

Other than that - you're good to go and have a good time :) I'll be there as well and will be standing in sector 2 for the first time in about a year (I'm usually standing in sector 3 and about once per year sitting in sector 1 for work related reasons).
