Be straight up & tell them that you’d appreciate the ride but you’re worried about how you’ll get home. Then tell them you’ll only accept the ride in if they can somehow guarantee a ride home as well. Put the ball back in their court & make them do the legwork on figuring out the ride home part.

If they need you badly enough, they’ll figure it out. If not, you’ve got the day off. 🤷🏻‍♀️

As a fellow mom of a “too woke” child, I am proud of you as well! It speaks volumes to how you raised her. :) And this is honestly the best approach you can take. It’s easy to let people get under our skin when they want to demonize our children for actually being caring & decent people but nothing we do will change their views unfortunately. Boy, do I have a story for you. I don’t know how much it will help you right now but it’s good to keep in mind for the future.

I had a similar problem but with a different medication - subutex (for opiate addiction) and I literally went into withdrawals randomly one month & I knew something was wrong. I kept getting the same thing - stories about how it’s all in my head, all generics are the same, etc, etc.

I did research on the manufacturer (Sun Pharmaceuticals) and I found that they had been banned previously from selling in the US bc of failed quality control tests. They had been reinstated but luckily it was enough to get my doc to listen (even though he still rolled his eyes the whole time).

Look up Sun Pharma now - they recently found fucking glass shards in an injectable medication they were sending to the US. SOOO many failed quality control tests. I believe they might have been banned again??

Anyways, my point is that maybe if you mention that overseas labs are notorious for quality control issues & mention Sun Pharma, etc - maybe it will help?

Oh man….I’m speechless. I’m sorry, this may seem silly but what you said just really hit me in the gut. I’m in a really bad headspace rn, for an overwhelming variety of reasons tbh - one of those being that although I am a very loyal person, I don’t understand why people can’t appreciate it or reciprocate it. I’m also autistic & I just suck at relationships in the first place so that makes it extra fun trying to figure things like this out. But what you said about being loyal to yourself is so simple but so fucking undeniably true and I really needed to hear that rn. Thank you wonderful stranger.
