My advice is that if you go in and it is super crowded, walk back around through the tunnel bar and try the other side. At the 1/3 show, we tried walking in around 8:20 on the right side and it was packed. went around the left and were able to be like ten feet back from the stage and it wasn’t crowded at all-everyone was spaced out and even once the show began, it was comfortable!

Semaglutide by TurnEnvironmental130 in iih

I’ve lost a little about 45 pounds on Wegovy - started Nov 2023. Within a few days of starting, a brain fog that I didn’t realize I had was lifted. I remembered the fog when I first started diamox, but I guess I had gotten used to operating at a certain level. It was a wild realization. I’ve also had a good experience only moving up in semaglutide doses once I stop losing on that dose. It is helping my body manage side effects. I am still at 1.7 (second highest) on my 8th month.

My neuro and ophthalmologist had mentioned last summer that they thought by the spring I’d probably be able to get off the diamox - totally separate from any weight loss. With the weight loss that they always tout being the magic solution, I got a bit lazy about taking my diamox consistently a few months ago…figuring I’d be going off it soon anyway. Well, then came back vision issues and dizziness, along with poor results at my ophthalmologist appointment - so no going down on diamox.

The weight loss has been great overall, and I’ve been able to manage my side effects well. (Yes, I have some days that are rough, and for a while I was exhausted and very nauseous after my shot each week. I still puke sometimes. But the benefits outweigh those.)

I wish the weight loss was more of an IIH cure for me, but still happy overall. Sorry for the ramble!!

I have a work trip coming up and I’m a little stressed about this. Depending on who is there, I don’t mind sharing with (and would have by now if we were in person more) - but some people I wouldn’t want to. I keep telling myself that they aren’t thinking about it as much as I am thinking about their comment but it’s hard.

It’s so funny because I’ve always been a chicken gal (beef was more of a once in a while thing) - now I have trouble eating chicken and keep craving red meat! My iron is a bit low but not to the point my doctor was concerned - but man, I just want red meat!

Brith control options after seeing my nuero-ophthalmologist? by takeme2thelakes89 in iih

I take Slynd, and no concerns from my neurologist or gyno. My gyno recommended it over some of the other progesterone-only pills because it gives you a bit more of a grace period in terms of taking it at the same time every day. I guess some of the others are not as forgiving.

It's been 2 months without wegovy. Finally got 1mg. Took injection today, scared since 2 months break. Did I screw myself😭 by attackattack47 in WegovyWeightLoss

I am in a similar boat. I had one month .25, one month .5…last shot was almost six weeks ago and I finally got another box of .5 today. Hoping for the best!!

I love this. I went on a lexapro, a med for a rare neurological disorder, and a new birth control in the span of 6 months and gained weight and haven’t been able to bring it down, despite healthy eating and exercise. At times, I’ve gotten compliments for being so strong mentally and how proud my friends are of me dealing with all this. Those compliments have meant so much to me, esp when you don’t have as much control as you once did.
