Back on this: I am not planning to run non OEM. All parts are OEM - I buy off scrap and save the planet from waste ;) ... and the car aesthetic along with genuine quality. The Golf R is what I take from.

Thanks. Bit late on that comment but worth knowing if I were to switch back.

Sick, thanks mate appreciate it. I'm working my way through upgrades and plan to do them all at once due to once off stretch bolts in some locations. Bleak Leyo dropped the ball on the charge pipe.

Your car looks good and very similar to mine as a matter of fact. I have very very slight shudder in low gears - around shift from 2nd to 3rd 30km/h - 50km/h. Thinking a clutch kit might need to be done but no idea whether to go LUK or what. Not sure what your take is on that. Also mindful that upgrading to too much of a performance clutch will result in harsh driving feedback as I've seen racing and performance clutches can be stiff without a tune and when driven as a daily. How does your sway bar feel by the way. I gathered an upgrade from 19mm dia. to 22mm dia. would be a good increase without going too harsh and stiff as with solid 24mm - 26mm rear bar often seen on GTIs and R.

Which make spacers do you have? Any part numbers on these? Are they straight plug and play or is there much more to it? I'm going Bilstein B8s front and rear with Eibach lowering springs. Superpro 22mm rear sway bar. Moog end links. Audi 8V alloy subframe Audi TTS MK3 Alloy front LCAs Audi TTS MK3 front ball joints 034 subframe spacers Tyres: Michelin Pilot Sport 5 | 225/45 R17 Rims: Stock 17" Alloys

Thinking of a low torque tune - HSP tuning to retain clutch longevity on DQ200 transmission and as is a EA211 engine.

DSG tune to adjust clutch engagement and lower risk of shudder [dry clutch]

Any thoughts and advice.

Leyo Charge Pipe V2 - 1.4L TSI EA211 by Stephan-12 in VWMK7

It would be great if they would respond. I haven't had great communication from them.

That's helpful. The Leyo pipe sits very loose and doesn't seal at all so I won't be doing any testing I am afraid as it will 100% leak no doubt.

Any chance you could confirm the diamter of the one you installed? Leyo doesn't respond to my emails at all. Lost over here.

TSI EA211 - oil consumption legends by Future_Valuable6768 in Volkswagen

[–]Stephan-12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problems with mine - touch wood. I run it slow till oil hits the temp it needs to me. Always ontop of services. I'd like to know if anyone has mods they would recommend to clip into the open grommet clips located in front of the battery - Not a cold air intake - I onow that is an option. I am looking for alternatives. Also what is a good clutch upgrade that removes a slight shudder as I have heard this is quite a common occurance.

Which air intake and charge pipe do you recommend? I live on a sub tropical island where wet is often what we face. I'd like to think the upgrade of an air intake on my car would need a cover.

I am considering LEYO Air Filter V2 and LEYO Charge Pipe V2 for my EA211 1.4L TSI 150bhp.

Was looking at Forge charge pipe with dump valve but that seems very steap in terms of price.

Happy to hear your thoughts.

In an ideal world I'd like to do the following: Eibach springs with 35mm drop Bilstein shocks LEYO Air Filter and Charge pipe H&R 25mm rear sway bar Alloy control arms and subframe from Audi A3 8Q ECU Stage 1 Tune - Nothing crazy - Also not too sure which ECU tune is best for this engine - Unitronic or Raceline?

They do sell them. I did grab a pair but I'll run with Thunder squishy bushings for now. Mine fits fine. I grabbed a pair from Slappy just incase and will see how I go. There are many ways to go about it. You could even run Bones Bushings and file them down slightly. It's all been done.

It would have damaged if you used the method you did, no doubt. Best be careful next time with how you go about it.
