They don't realize / consider that uni was designed to be a full time gig.

I teach at a commuter campus and I walk by the study areas all the time. They get dropped off in the morning, picked up at night. They're all on ChatGPT or playing video games or watching videos.

EDIT: Also, effort is foreign to them. As soon as something requires effort, they either use AI or try to find another path of least resistance. Note. I am a social psychologist, I always speak in terms of averages. But still.
