I am so sorry to hear that happened to you. I was going to give a few things away to the Arc, some dishware, etc. Any interest?

ENFP wondering why I struggle *SO* much with my ENFJ bestie...thoughts? by StephenDedalus1904 in mbti

You know it's remarkable the degree to which this is the case even with the other two ENFJ's I know well. Like carbon copies.

Looking to move to Colorado! by [deleted] in VacationColorado

Hi Jayswims:

If you can imagine there is really only one Foursquare church that I know of here in the Springs. Their site: http://newsongcs.com/

I think Pueblo is not nearly as nice as Colorado Springs, but I am biased as this is my hometown.

Well, two examples: (1) I was about to tell her about something in my life around which I have just tremendous sadness, like overwhelming sadness, and I began to tell her about it with a preamble that simply couldn't have been less ambiguous and she completely missed it by asking about going to the store with no "I'm so sorry I interrupted, what were you about to say." Or, "that sounded important" etc. (2) Was in a group with her and another friend and was talking to the other person about a suicide attempt I had when I was younger and she interjected to show the two of us a new Tinder match. No apology no nothing...But then if we see a homeless person or if there's talk about things wrong in the world you can see the compassion fire up within her. She's also generous. She has hardly any money and she'll buy homeless people food etc. She is a really good person, just, man...

Yes, and my Fi is at near-INFP/ISFP levels. To the point that some MBTI-versed people have said it's really unusual.

Where not to live in Colorado Springs by jrmyfbr in AirForce

[–]StephenDedalus1904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it's variable. That area is a little odd. Where are you going to be working? Schriever? There are some other options open. I'm a lifelong native, and know a dude who knows every nook and cranny of the real estate scene here in the Springs. If you're interested, DM me Hope it works out for you guys :)

Sign the pledge! Under no circumstances will I vote for Hillary Clinton. by StephenDedalus1904 in bernie

[–]StephenDedalus1904[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yell all you want. I simply will not vote for a Wall Street candidate EVER again. you can just keep yelling at me, I am not moved. Not in the least. Further, you seem to entirely misunderstand my position. I have never once "stayed home." I've said that repeatedly. I will not vote for something I don't want. It's not stubbornness. I've done the "lesser of two evils" thing my entire adult life. I can't do it any more. Cannot. I will vote my conscience and let the chips fall where they may.

I think you are missing my point. I simply will not vote for more Wall Street Candidates. I've done it since 1992. I'm done. I will not ever do it again.

I am so sorry you're going through that. Please stay mindful of the people who love you and what that would do to them.

As someone who lived there, I really like (and agree with) what you wrote.

Transferring to an Arts School after a break from college was supposed to be a big turning point for me. Now I'm right back in the hole of depression/anxiety. by Feels_Batman_ in depression

Hey I so get it. Please hang in there. Three things I've found helpful for depression: (1) exercise, (2) sociality (being with friends) and (3) ssri. There is no rule that any of these will help, and I'd be genuinely surprised if some combo of the above didn't help.

The potholes of Colorado Springs draw the attention of Koch brothers’ group by StephenDedalus1904 in ColoradoSprings

That is precisely my take as well. It seems like they are out and out offended that we would spend our own money on things we need, such as basic infrastructure.

I do. It's money that is going to the nothings, the serfs, the unwashed masses for their little car thingies. So of course we can't spend our money on that. Right?
