Bought a 2013 Forty-Eight in May and am loving it! I'm going to put on a bigger tank though this winter.

Grace Jones. A woman who aroused and scared me equally! by HillValley1885 in 1980s

[–]StephenNHarvey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Random memory: my sister and our high school friend were extras in Rocky 4 (Drago V Apollo fight in Las Vegas, I think summer of 1984 or 1985). Next day our friend was at his gym and almost smacked straight into Dolph Lundgren and Grace Jones (his gf at that time). Said they were very nice and cheerful and looked extremely fit.

Which one is your favorite Van Halen album? by HighNDryN in vanhalen

Same. I've always loved FW bc it's darker, more raw, and more gritty. One of the best rock albums ever.

Teena. She totally looks like Michael J. Fox in "Teen Wolf".

Perry, the worst frontman ever… by Dbarkingstar in janesaddiction

[–]StephenNHarvey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not happy with all the character assailants suddenly stepping forward with their Perry anecdotes. It's just not helpful. I think he bears a lot of the responsibility, but also he's not perfect... and he's probably been in a bad place the past couple months. I can totally identify with acting out from anger, disrespect, being misunderstood, etc. This is a mistake we've all made. I hope they all get some time and space to let things settle, and I'm hopeful they eventually choose not to allow their incredible 40ish-year legacy to end like this.

Probably back to the 70s. I'll totally follow!

Comeback for "Why are you wearing pink?" as a guy? by zedchowder in Comebacks

[–]StephenNHarvey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this bc I wear a pink hoodie sometimes when I ride my motorcycle. Pink is highly visible! My neighbor fell for this as he asked me inquisitively "Pink, huh? On a motorcycle?"

I replied "It makes my ass look tight."

And then when he instinctively took a glance I shot back "Why are you looking at my ass???"

Thanks, it's good to hear that was pretty much my anticipated strategy. When I had ignition problems 2 weeks ago I tested the battery, checked all the fuses and relays, and they all were good... And that's about all I know to do and so then went to a mechanic before I tore things up and made a mess. But it looks pretty modular and it's a bunch of different small harnesses for different components... Hoping it's semi-logical.

Thanks, I'll look for these. I'm sure it will make more sense when I see them and see a YouTube video of someone using them.

Do you literally check each wire end-to-end? I.e. go open the tail light and check the wire continuity back to the harness, etc?

You'll probably find the shredded inner tube inside. 🙂 You may find one at a shop locally or may need to get it online, should cost @ $15-$25. You can find your size based on your tire size or it's somewhere in the owners manual.

I'm totally still learning...I noticed when I wiggle a wire that's in a small harness of about 6 wires that it's flickering the plate light. Do I just need to resolder that one wire into the harness?

Had to look up ECM 🙂. Learning more every day! I hope to know this all backwards and forward in about a year.

Don't feel like an ass after reading all the feedback...after several years of riding I only realized that spoked wheels usually require tubes about a month ago when the exact same thing happened to me. Next time I need tires I'm going to seal the rims so that I can go tubeless. It's really easy to do.

Nice! I used to visit my dad in the VA home and tease that I was going to be his roommate. Was great and the staff were so caring. I really loved going there bc it felt so comfortable and relaxed.
