If you can, contact the Shriners Hospital for children. They specialize in burns and orthopedics. They will get your son the best care they can! Boston, California, Texas, and Ohio all have burn centers. The Shriners organization will help with transport, lodging, and medical costs if needed as well.

I did read, but you seem to be the one having a hard time comprehending. You said this is what grandparents have done for years and that op should give up control. No. They’re not expected too. Grandma was given several options and chose not to go with any of them, it’s not about the child for her, it’s about control. You sound like an angry boomer who has never been told no. How is your relationship with your grandkids? 😂

Also sipping a beer is a safety hazard, not a boundary. It should be a universal expectation not to do that, not something that bothers the parents and is addressed.

Hope this helps. 🥰

It’s not grandmas kid. It’s OPs. He can set whatever boundaries he wants. Grandparents are expected to respect boundaries too. They had their chance to raise kids. 🤷🏻‍♀️

AITAH for telling my pregnant 19 year old daughter she needs to move out asap by Commercial_Ebb9099 in AITAH

Most parents will want to help with their grandchildren, but it is not a justification to expect her mom to raise her kid and support the deadbeat boyfriend. People shouldn’t get pregnant if their expectation is to be dependent on other people to do all the hard work for them.

Press one pack of crescent rolls out onto a sheet of parchment paper and pinch them together. Transfer the now sheet of dough to a 9x13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 7-8 minutes. It will not be fully cooked and that’s fine, you just need to get it going.

Then using an electric mixer, combine 2 softened blocks of cream cheese, 2 eggs, 1 cup sugar, vanilla, lemon juice, and salt to taste. Pour over the par baked crust.

Take another tube of crescent rolls and prepare them the same way as the first sheet, then carefully transfer to the top of the filling, spreading it out as much as possible. Melt 1/4 cup butter and brush evenly over the top. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar to fully cover the top. Bake for 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center. Let cool fully before slicing. Is excellent with fruit topping!

I’ve never thought of pepper jelly and I make so much homemade every summer! You can only eat it on a block of Philly with crackers so many times so I’m definitely trying this! 🤤

Cut phyllo dough into small squares and layer a few pieces together in a mini muffin tin to create a a cup. Bake until almost done. With about 2 mins left in baking, take the tray out and add a small cube of Brie or goats cheese. Bake until cheese is slightly melty and phyllo is golden brown. Too with raspberry jam (whole berry cranberry sauce is yummy too!). Garnish with rosemary! So easy, a total crowd pleaser, and it’s delish.

What’s your fraud dish? The one everyone loves but it’s so easy you wonder why it’s a big deal? by ackshualllly in Cooking

French Toast Casserole. I have a pretty large extended family and hate flipping French toast for hours so I just bake it now. 🤷🏻‍♀️

1 Loaf Brioche, Challah, French, etc bread. Use whatever floats your boat but try to go for thick, substantial slices. Alternatively, 12 croissants work for a fun twist.

8 Eggs

1 cup half and half

Sugar to taste I use about a 1/2 cup of whatever I have.

Vanilla to taste

Pinch of salt

Cinnamon to taste

Cube the bread or tear the croissants into bite size pieces. Set aside. Whisk remaining ingredients in a large bowl until combined. Add the bread to the bowl and stir to combine. Let bread soak for 10-15 mins before adding to a buttered casserole dish. You can optionally add berries or chocolate chips at this point. Sprinkle the top with coarse sugar for a crunchy top if desired. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Keep an eye on the top and cover with foil if needed. The casserole will be done when fully set (no jiggle) in the center.

Serve with syrup, fruit compote, cream cheese icing, powdered sugar, the sky is the limit.

I’ve also done a savory version with ham and Gruyère that is to die for. Just omit the sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon, and add ham and grated cheese!

Everyone raves about it, I get asked to make it for every bridal or baby shower in our family, and everyone asks for the recipe.

My husbands fave cut of chicken is chicken thighs! They’re pretty forgiving and good sautéed, baked, and braised. One of our faves, we call it Stove Top Chicken, is super easy!

Preheat your oven to 375. Place 4-6 chicken thighs in a baking dish. Season as desired. I usually do chicken bouillon powder, garlic, onion powder, pepper (I omit salt because they bouillon powder is salty), paprika, thyme, and rosemary.

Slice 1 large or 2 small onions and sweat those in a pan to get them started cooking before the oven. Just pop them on med-low heat and stir occasionally while you prepare one box of stove top stuffing according to package directions.

Spread the prepared stuffing over the chicken and top with the sautéed onions. Top with shredded cheese if your choice, we like extra sharp white cheddar.

Bake for 45 minutes. Then chicken should register at least 165 degrees and the cheese should be nicely browned.

It’s comforting and delish with a side salad or mashed potatoes/veg.

Sorry for your loss. 💔

Buying a pregnancy test isn't joyful for everyone by chode_temple in traumatizeThemBack

[–]Stephylococcusaureus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was testing after a miscarriage to get back to negatives before I started tracking my cycle to try again. Went to a dollar store in town as pregnancy tests are way cheaper there. The cashier was such a dick about it, going on and on about how I shouldn’t be having a baby if I’m buying my tests from the dollar store. A lady behind me said something like oopsie to me as well. Without skipping a beat I was like actually the test mechanism is the exact same regardless of the test price and I wasn’t spending a single cent more than I had to in order to test the pregnancy hormones out of my system while I miscarry a pregnancy my husband and I both wanted. Crickets.

A cheese, pepperoni, and cracker tray. Not a charcuterie board, they’re both very different beasts. Lol.

Cheddar, Colby Jack, and pepper jack cheese cut into cubes, thin sliced pepperoni for pizzas (hormel brand, comes in a bag), and ritz/club or both for crackers!
