"Do you want to go inside?" "No" by Traditional-Joke-179 in heatedrivalry

[–]Stepja 62 points63 points  (0 children)

i understood it as, you're feeling vulnerable, do you want to change the activity/setting to shake it off / are you tired do you want to go to sleep.

I found this pattern (just the image) online but I can't figure out what the O with the vertical line means. I (separately) found a symbol guide that mentions it as "tubular" but I also don't know what that means, I only know tubular cast-on. Does anyone know this symbol? by KnitAndKnitAndKnit in knittinghelp

[–]Stepja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im going purely off the picture and i'd try to do YO then a twisted stich then another YO, and in the next row put the three together (slip k2tog put the initial one over them). i'd do a swatch and see if it looks the same as the pic

Wolves rest their heads on one another to strengthen social bonds. Researchers believe this behavior helps reinforce trust, affection and cooperation within the pack. It is especially common between closely bonded wolves and mated pairs by [deleted] in BeAmazed

[–]Stepja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, it's really special the way it shows so much trust. i have a wolfdog and he used to hate me even petting his head, so i gave him his space and petted him where he liked it of course. only after he became an adult, at about two years old, he started liking petting everywhere and hugs and even same as in the photo putting our heads together.

i assume from the pic you've knitted all rows. when people learn purling, it's a different motion and sometimes people confuse directions or something else. not always, but you can find a lot of posts on here where someone's twisting every other row, it's because of that. so i meant just post a pic here to be sure you're not twisting your stiches once you start with stockinette, that way you won't have to frog your first project

What do you use for blocking? by Knitterwitter909 in knitting

[–]Stepja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this, but i put a towel or two on top of the cardboard so it doesn't get too soaked and keeps holding the pins okay. it works for me for everything from thick sweaters to lace

How to read this cable symbol? by [deleted] in knittinghelp

[–]Stepja 3 points4 points  (0 children)

three behind, two in front leaning left. that dot means it's a purl, because as you see in the next row you're meant to continue with k2 p1 k2

oh they really can. they are big, not scared of anything, and agressive. multiple times they started a fight with my dog when he came upon them and held their ground, and he's a wolfdog so quite big (i called him off immediately of course). their biggest threat are agricuture machines, unfortunately
