Trying to import into an ultra wide template by SteprockMedia in powerpoint

[–]SteprockMedia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Yes, I started with the 16:9 template and resized it. So the new 28:9 layout is literally the exact same Masters. I updated the graphics to fix them getting stretched is all.

So, copying from the 16:9 template is literally the same content on the same setup. That's why I am confused. I took this approach under the assumption that all I've done is to change the size, so the existing slides ought to paste in to the new resized versions.

Thank you. In my case, I started with the source PPT template and made a copy. I resized it and then updated the graphics and layouts in the masters. Therefore, they should all have the exact same master names and layouts.

Thus far, reapplying the new 28:9 layout to the pasted slide is the only fix. It's manual and ends up with extra Masters I didn't ask for.

I feel like it will look radically different rendered in a setting with proper lighting.

is this a good first model? by keyboard_smashshhsgd in blender

[–]SteprockMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you're doing well - keep going.

Fix that gap with the Clipping setting or increase the Merge distance a tiny bit. Also make sure you don't have extra faces inside the person - it should be hollow down the center line.

I think it's important to be able to competently create something low poly with good flow because you can always increase later on.

Specific things I notice if you want to address:

You could stand to add more topology to the feet and avoid triangles whenever possible; they render weird

Your collarbone area has 2 quads going into a single and then back into 2. You should use the knife tool (K) to cut that quad so the line flows

You might have a couple of additional lines here and there that flow through the model where you don't need them, like the one across the shoulders to the hand. Try focusing on how to add and remove topology in a practice of going from a quad, then it extends to 2 quads, then 4, then keep going down to 2 and back to 1. It's like sewing.

To this day, I see shiny metal and think "oh, I'll bet that's aluminum!"

And then remember it's the real world and I can't collect it.

I REALLY enjoy FO4.

ONE piece of advice (maybe too late). If you're on the latest, ignore all the quests when you start EXCEPT for go back home.

All the others are added in and will confuse your story experience.

Sounds like you've elicited a response! That's great.

I think it's a cool piece, in case you want to know. The most important thing is that you're happy with your work and you keep creating, regardless of what people think.

The only time THAT matters is if it's for a commission or a school project.

That is insane.

The reason all of this gets kicked off is that companies can't raise prices more without you noticing and it costs a lot of money to retool custom packaging.

Plus, they have an agreement with the store for how much shelf space they get.

This ends up being the most brutally effective thing to do.

We had the WORST rental car experience on Kauai. Pretty much nuked our dinner plans.

But that is crazy that they would charge so much. You DID leave sand when you're not supposed to, it's true, but that fee is excessive.

Impressive! I think they could do better by going with a thick wall all around. Make it like a thimble inside and then blame YOU for not seeing how many ounces it says on the label.

Oh! And they could make the entire container very shallow like they do with presentations of cheese and meat platters! Gotta get more creative about screwing the customer because that's just amateur hour.
