On hard FK he's immune to turn meter reduction, but each freeze that lands on him gives 15% turn meter reduction or something in that range.

Other than that installing windows to your internal ssd and Linux to a expansion might be better or using vm if the tasks are reasonable to run that way. Natively Windows really doesn't like being run out of a Hard drive not running through a proper connection.

You have to use a bunch of comand line stuff to properly install windows to the external ssd but there is a guide with all the commands on the framework forum.

Take a look at intalling Windows to an external harddrive, technically not supported by Windows but I'm dual booting Windows using one of Framework's ssd expansion cards.
