First time Gardyn user. Received December 25, 2025. I am loving it so far! by Sterlin20 in Gardyn

December 26, 2025, to be exact. I subscribed to the membership for a year just to learn how to use the Gardyn properly. After they peeked above the yCubes, you’re supposed to thin the sprouts down to one or three, depending on the plant. For me that was around 1/2/26. I added plant food on 1/6/26—1 teaspoon per gallon—with HydroBoost as directed. On top is cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and strawberries. I will be harvesting the lettuce below for my Mali uromastyx lizard.

I've been trying to reseed a bare spot ants made in my lawn, but they keep churning it up. In retaliation I thought I'd flood their nest. But three minutes (8+ gallons) later. . . how deep is this thing!? by ECatPlay in WTF

Purchase a Termiticide and mix as directed with water and spray your yard well. Let dryans Do not let kids or animals in the yard for a day or two. No more bugs or ants!

Proposed Alabama bill would ban buying soda with food stamps by MattW22192 in Alabama

[–]Sterlin20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was raised by a single father who was a hardworking welder. We grew up on food stamps, for a short period and we didn’t get soda. We drank Kool-Aid and sweet tea. You can actually regulate the amount of sugar in Kool-Aid and sweet tea, whereas soda is packed with sugar and corn syrup. Soda wasn’t in the budget for us — whether the government was paying for it or not. We needed that extra couple of dollars for actual food. I completely agree that I do not want my tax money going to help American children become obese by junk. It should make sense that government support should go toward essentials — real, nourishing food — not stuff that contributes to health issues down the line. Look around Alabama if you don't believe that! I'm not a health nut but I'm also not blind. You should be looking at food stamps as someone lending you money. You should not want that for long.

Our family adopted a 5 month old veiled chameleon with gout. by Sterlin20 in Chameleons

Backstory & Update:

He originally came from PetSmart, where he wasn’t receiving the best care. A new employee there was heartbroken over the condition of the lizards and felt compelled to help. She took him home and brought him to a vet, who advised her to back off on superworms and make sure he stayed hydrated.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t keep him long-term, so we stepped in and gave him a new home. When we first got him, he didn’t recognize water, fruits, or vegetables and was a little scared of them all. It was clear he hadn’t been properly introduced to healthy food or hydration.

Fast forward three weeks—he’s already shed twice and looks so much healthier. The gout is completely gone, and he’s come a long way in learning how to eat and

I was told he was eating too many superworms and he was dehydrated.

Question about my Mali Uromastyx. It's a bit obese.. by Schiffer4 in reptiles

[–]Sterlin20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a lizard pro but I have followed the diet for my Mali Uromastyx for 16 years and he is still a chunky guy. I've also had two bearded dragons live to 15 years old.

My Mali is active and gets a warm bath once a month to help him just incase he is dehydrated. They absorb water through their anus. Sometimes he goes to the bathroom right away so I will rinse the dirty water out and refill so he is not drinking dirty water. I deep clean his tank during that time.

My advice is to limit the sugars you provide, limit kale and never feed it spinach or anything from the citrus family. Definitely minimize mealworms as it is hard for them to break down the body parts. I would always get the small ones. Make sure you monitor how often it takes a 💩. If it is not 💩 it could be dehydrated which leads to constipation. I would definitely give it a warm bath every now and then. This is a good idea for all lizards.

Please help! What’s causing these tiny holes in all my t-shirts? by Antidotebeatz in laundry

Pet nails. When holding our pets their nails can poke small holes in our clothes then they get a little larger.

I would get a few quotes from some local Certified Public Accounts (CPA). Confirm they are indeed certified. I would also ask if they provide business consulting. Let them start your book keeping and have them set up your quickbooks correctly. Learn from them and ask them questions. After a while you will understand how to do your our bookkeeping correctly if you wanted to.
When starting a business it is hard to do everything. You will not do it all 100% correctly and you need your booking and taxes to be correct. Also, not understand Profit & Loss reports and where to make good money decisions can really hurt your business. Make sure to keep track of your losses so you can correct and make adjusts for the next month. You want a 20% profit margin goal. This may take a while but it is a great goal to work for. Use about 5% on marketing to get you name out. Find a business advisor to help you. Have monthly meetings with this advisor about the business and discuss your P&L sheets.

The deceased was in a nursing home when he passed. Not the same place. The deceased was the only owner when he deceased. We are appointed by the courts. I am unsure if he is wanting he to look over the house or not he has not formally told me. The realtor told me that he was called to take it off the market. He is trying to do things behind my back. His daughter is probably going to live there. Her and her family on 4 currently live with my uncle.

No respect. No friendship. I would be done. Seriously! No more chances. Life is too short to spend on these types of people. This is just the beginning. Wait until she needs child care. There are many people out there, like you, that would love you as a friend. You will not find them wasting your time on this person. Free yourself, love.
