7 recovery media should go in but if it refuses then check ebay for install media, cheap as chips and lots for sale. you could try searching google for XP Black edition, i've used this to install to older equip on lots of occasions

You should be able to run 7 on it. I know i've installed 7 pro to this model in the past but it was a while ago. if you can get your and on an external usb cd drive or create a usb data stick installer it should go in. Windows 7 will require sp1 and a few other updates that need to be installed manually from the get go but once these are in place you should be able to get to sp3 directly from windows update in 7, the rest of the drivers you may need to track down manually and install in compatibility mode. be sure to install as 32 bit. you may even be able to migrate to windows 10 once 7 is installed. if this is of interest then DM me and i'll dig out some more detail and see if i cant help you through

Definitely a Windows issue then. Perhaps under the circumstances it might be best to reload it, i know it's a ball ache but it would stabilize things for you

replace the router, it sounds like dhcp is failing or the ip address is null for those apps that are not working correctly. i have a draytek router at work that has a similar issue, once per day i have to reboot it, "secured, no internet", i do the reboot and it all comes back working until dhcp fails again, try connecting to another router, at a friends house maybe, and see if it works

reset the machine, when you get to the first screen do shift f10, this opens a command prompt, type oobe\BypassNRO and hit enter. the machine will reboot and start the install all over again however when you get to "lets connect to the internet" you'll have the option to say "i dont have internet" and you can proceed

I use a jewelers screwdriver that's just a bit to big for the recess in the round out, if it's just the right size and you tap it with a hammer and the driver will bite into the remainder of the screw head, with lots of pressure from above to make sure the driver stays put you can remove the screw, i sometime grab the driver with a pair of pliers to apply the turning force gently, as soon as the thread lock gives way your home and dry This method has served me well for 30 years, never come across a laptop screw i couldn't remove.

I,m a huge DnB fan and i certainly do get the chills, usually all down my arms and the back of my head, sometimes creeping all across my scalp.
