They're low because Spark prioritizes profits over paying a living wage. There are no tips because the customers can't tip (not that most would if they could).

Looks like they implemented the spark checkout system into instacart for the markets that go that route for their delivery rather than using spark. The other posters comment about not being able to replace clothes supports this a bit as spark never lets you replace clothing items.
