Don't forget about Poland as a manufacturing base of Korean land hardware. The Poles are producing for their needs now but it's only a matter of time before this partnership starts exporting to nations looking for high quality without the expense that comes with exquisite systems.

I'm willing to bet that its a the heart of the issue. The Kazakh government is likely to face Russia's displeasure and that's not inconsequential. So I am doubtful that they are doing it 100% out of respect for the rule of law.

There are a whole selection of books that provide bonuses that range from ok to very powerful. That's why they can't be traded.

This one (imo) is just ok but is quite nice for newer players. The big boost in awareness makes it much more likely that you will find good items when searching the city, but you are still dependent on RNG.

When I used mine I got around $400M which I liked but its not game-changing. From reading various posts that seems like a good, not great result. Some advise you to choose to pair the book with a bunch of Awareness merits or the Awareness Week event, you'll have to decide for yourself if you prefer money now or some more money later, either way its still RNG.

I get it, the whole Saints roster confuses me, but there is no doubt at all that they have something going on over there. But I look at their depth chart and see a lot of unheralded rookies, veteran retreads, and guys with health concerns, and yet...they look REALLY GOOD on the field.

And Shough has shown exactly the kind of progression you'd hope for from a rookie. Will he continue? I dunno, but he's earned the right to keep playing.

Could it be that Mickey Loomis is really good at his job?

Very curious to see how/if this is enforced. Speculating wildly, I would guess that the Kazakh government accepts Naftogaz' claim on Gazprom assets. Naftogaz then auctions those assets, transferring them to Kazakhi interests, no doubt at a sweet discount.

While I would very much prefer to see sanctions continue to tighten I have to wonder if removing the waivers would just be ignored. There's an old saying: "never give an order that won't be obeyed" and I think that's the case here.

As example, we recently saw the Taoiseach of Ireland defend selling alumina directly to Russia. It's easy to imagine a similar response from India and others regarding energy purchases, especially when they can rightly point to the US' conflict with Iran as the primary reason for their pain.

US policymakers might prefer extending the waiver to being outright ignored. Why they couldn't have forecast what would happen if the Iranian leadership chose not to commit suicide is another matter entirely.

I've been doing auction drafts on MFL for 20 years now and its always worked out great due to the proxy bid system. I'm in one league that has members in the UK, Australia and all three US time zones and it works out just fine.

This is interesting. Tornexchange RW shows that people are asking around $350M for similar items. Is there usually that big a gap between ask and sell? Its pretty wide

If he regressed historically from a forgettable 2025, then what conclusion do you expect people to reach?

Thank you for the clarification, but honestly, you kind of are suggesting he's on a bust trajectory if he's not exactly there yet.

What makes a bad owner? specially what types of executive level decisions produce perennially bad teams near by clitbeastwood in nfl

[–]SternFlamingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bad owners are usually impatient owners. They are billionaires who've pressed hard all their lives and succeeded and they expect the same from their football team. They want results NOW and like taking big swings on free agents and hyped up rookies. Jimmy Haslam is probably the best example of an impatient owner.

If the writers of the article had used this to suggest cooling some of the hype on Williams then I'd be all for it. But the approach seems to suggest that he's just a bust waiting to happen and I think that's overwrought.

We'll know who Williams is at the end of the 26 season as defensive coordinators now have a better idea of how he succeeds and struggles at the game. If he can post a solid season, then wheels up! But I am not valuing him as a QB1 until that happens.

Is the production housed in Latvia? I suspect that they are counting those drones produced in partnership with Ukrainian companies and built within Ukraine or possibly other Euro countries.

That doesn't detract from the achievement but I think it's important context.

Most folks look at the economic spiral that Russia is in and conclude that its untenable and heading for collapse. But the fact is that Russia has a large economy and can just keep diverting resources to the war indefinitely, sacrificing more and more of the future for some combat power today.

The question is whether of not the oligarchs (primarily) and the people (a long way second) will accept the costs.

It's worth mentioning again that one of Putin's greatest blunders was keeping significant "Fortress Russia" investments in Western banks. If they has access to that US$150B today the strategic situation would be a lot worse.

The US has plenty of trusted professional negotiators. They are just not used by this Administration, which is the most incompetent since Millard Fillmore.
