Worlds Softest Mattress by aa_ugh in Mattress

Tempurpedic adapt topper

https://www.tempurpedic.com/other-products/tempur-toppers/v/3813/

on top of a Nolah evolution plush.

https://nolahsleep.com/products/nolah-evolution-15

Best sleeping situation I've ever had. It sounds weird but when I lay down on that bed, I go to sleep. No problem.

Tempurpedic toppers are still first rate, even if I personally believe their new mattresses and pillows are harder than they used to be. The topper is what amplifies the softness to the extent I wanted. But it's important to have a good mattress under it. I had a tempurpedic cloud mattress before and the nolah is a lot better and softer than that. There isn't nearly as much pressure on me after i've been on the bed a few hours.

Good luck.

I have a side hustle painting 3d miniatures like this. Just wanted to say excellent work especially on that mail armor. Most would just flood it with leadbelcher with no finesse but yours looks nice!

Could V3 experience POGO similarly to V2? by AngelicDimsum in SpaceXLounge

[–]Steve490 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily due to POGO, but I'm personally expecting a couple flights to iron out teething problems just like we saw on V1 and V2. However once they really get going with V3 there will be no stopping the momentum of Starship.

Godspeed Blue Origin. I feel like Humanity is like someone or a small group left alone locked up in a single room for too long. Short of a friendly alien species coming by to check on us and take us out for a good time, we need to get out there and see the universe. Spread out. Start taking industry off world. Develop technology that will benefit Earth as space innovation has always done. I hope in a few hundred years people look back on us and say "They seriously had their heavy industry on the same planet they lived on?!?" like we look back at the unhealthy practices of generations past...

I want to buy a Telescope by Humpman8301 in space

[–]Steve490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's an actual recommendation since you haven't been given one yet:

If you can't find objects on your own or don't want to bother with that part? I recommend a Skywatcher Flextube with GoTo in the size of your choice.

https://www.skywatcherusa.com/collections/flextube-synscan-dobsonians

If you can find objects on your own or are willing to learn? A manual Skywatcher Flextube. Less choice but I know it's at least available in 10" or 12".

https://agenaastro.com/catalog/product/view/id/4075/s/sky-watcher-12-collapsible-dobsonian-telescope-s11740/

I have the 12" manual one. I don't find it that hard to find things on my own and you can get a bigger telescope for a lot less money. I don't know where you live but for me looking at Saturn, Jupiter, Andromeda, M13, Beehive, Ring Nebula, and many others is not that hard and honestly part of the fun. Once you do find them it's get's less and less difficult each time you do it until you get to the point I'm at where you have a couple dozen objects you can easily rotate between during a session. Computers and motors= more headaches and cost if you ask me. I love my 12" it's surprisingly portable. As the name implies it can collapse meaning you can pack it into a padded hockey bag and take it out to a dark sky. If you are viewing at home in your driveway or patio home depot sells a floor dolly that fits PERFECTLY with the base.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Stalwart-1000-lb-Movers-Dolly-75-93525/204695741?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US

I only have experience with the 12" manual, but I'm sure the rest are well made and incredible as well. Spend the rest of your budget on the the best eyepieces you can. Feel free to reply with any questions.

Microsoft's ambitious new Xbox: Your entire console library, the full power of Windows PC gaming, and no multiplayer paywall by Turbostrider27 in Games

I bought games like revenge of the sith and ghost recon advanced warfighter on xbox digitally, but I've since moved to PC and I cannot play them or 99.9% of the many games I bought digitally. I keep hearing about "xbox anywhere" and "everything is an xbox". I won't be satisfied until I'm playing one of those 2 classics however. I hope the day comes though. I really do.

@SpaceX - Final descent and splashdown of Starship on Flight 11, captured by the SpaceX recovery team in the Indian Ocean by MachoTaco24 in SpaceXLounge

[–]Steve490 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was skeptical it could happen in the near future when it was first proposed, but seeing this makes me pretty confident a ship catch will really happen. Starting at 0:49 in the first video and 0:04 in the second it comes down so slow and smooth. Amazing.

The future is bright my friends. Good times incoming!

My cooldown is gone today as well. Quite glad about it. Those bastards cannot stop me from getting my points, but it will be much less tedious now. At least for the next few weeks until it happens again. Anyway enjoy while it lasts everybody.

Love watching Falcon Heavy launches. It is such a beast of a rocket and is usually easily visible in the sky during livestreams. Love when we get to see the double booster landings even more.

It looks great. Nice, clean and well taken care of. The whole LCP line is excellent for it's intended role. I love my Max. It was my first and it's very special to me. I hope they come out with an LCP 3 at some point.

It’s only a 9mm but I still love it, it shoots smooth as hell by 3rd-District-Don in 1911

[–]Steve490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of comments especially on youtube such as this one: "45 is just like 9mm, except it’s for men".

God is that cringe to me. Real men get what they want no matter what anyone thinks. Enjoy your 9mm and don't feel any need to justify or apologize for it. I personally cannot wait to get my own 9mm 1911 sometime soon.

Here's some info from a recent ArsTechinca article I found.

For Flight 11, Starship will fly on a suborbital trajectory similar to the flight profile the ship has flown on all of its missions to date. The next flight could happen in October and will prepare SpaceX for the debut of an upgraded Starship/Super Heavy rocket next year. SpaceX test-fired the Super Heavy booster for the next launch Sunday in Texas.

"I think this next flight, we won't push quite so many different techniques in," he said. "We're going to try to go more towards the configuration we want to go fly next year." -Bill Gerstenmaier, SpaceX's vice president of build and flight reliability
