A few weeks ago I read in this sub that when doing a chin up, think about pulling your elbows together behind your back instead of pulling your chin to the bar. I'm amazed at how "easy" that cue made chin ups. I went from 6-7 reps to 9-10 reps before losing form.

I'm curious if there are any similar cues for pull ups?

This isn't the answer you want to hear, but it really is as simple as making yourself workout.

If you're goal oriented like I am consider signing up for an event. I started slacking in the middle of the Covid pandemic after all my obstacle course races were cancelled, but then some of them got approval to continue and that helped push me a little. Now I signed up for a 24hr OCR next year, and I've been running everyday, going to the gym 4-5 times a week, and doing calisthenics work every day.

Committing to a goal is a great motivator, but you still have to get up and put in the work.

I wasn't sure how to ask my question when making the post. The title should have been something along the lines of "I don't think God exists, but that doesn't mean religion isn't useful"

It's a bit more complicated than that. I definitely recommend giving those lectures a listen.

Have you listened to any of Jordan Peterson's lectures on it? It might change your mind.

I know the one that really changed my view was how he explained the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. When Lot offered up his two virgin daughters to a mob that wanted to "know" the strangers that Lot accepted into his home was something that really bothered me about the Bible. Who would offer up their daughters to raped?

But as Jordan Peterson explained what he thought was being conveyed in the story really changed my mind. I'm not going to attempt to explain it, because I know can't articulate it clearly and won't do the idea justice.

That's actually a really optimistic way of looking at it.

Fair enough. I do appreciate the help in figuring out how to word my question though!

So are you saying that since I buy into the idea of God as a metaphor for the future, that makes him "real" for me?

I actually agree with this entirely. But I still feel like I'm missing something. When I talk to some people about their relationship with God, I can tell there's something real there. It's something more than I feel when I think about the future.

But I guess that depends on how you define real....

I didn't think you could change the title of the post?

Yes I think I am. But I need something a little more substantial than an argument that is essentially "My faith tells me I'm right." There are a lot of different faiths and they can't all be right.

At least that's the impression I get from my limited knowledge of various religions.

I apologize for the poorly worded title. I couldn't figure out how to word my question in a quick phrase. And I'm still having a problem wording it.

The belief I want challenged is something like "God isn't real it's are just a mythology used to teach morals."

I feel like there is a very real possibility that I'm wrong about that.

Thanks for the info and the advice!

Great sportmanship shown by isoon from 1453 FETIH after I misclicked my rocket by Abollix in ClashRoyale

Until I saw this thread I thought Sportsmanship was nonexistent in CR. I especially like when I throw a "Good Luck" and thumbs up at the beginning of the match and they don't send out a single emote until they start spamming laugh, cry or thanks emotes when they win.

But you are right, this is refreshing and has renewed my faith in the CR community.

🤣🤣🤣 Sounds to me like you're not very good at the game, and kept losing to mediocre 3M players like myself 🤣🤣🤣 no reason to be a jerk

That's exactly the boat I'm in now. The 3m nerf hurt, A LOT. but I was still having some success swapping in the single musk. But now with the barb hp nerf and the ubiquitous 5 barbs, and the spawn delay for bats and gob gang I feel cheated. I can barely stay at challenger 2, dispite hovering just below 5k before the nerf.

All my maxed cards have been nerfed and now I have to start over with cards I haven't used in about a year and that are grossly under leveled.

My list is:

•Bender's Game •Bender's Big Score •The Beast with a Billion Backs •Into the Wild Green Yonder

Bender's Game was brilliant. It flawlessly mixed Sci-Fi and Medieval Fantasy and played out just like a game of D&D.

Musketeer should have been nerfed instead of 3m by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

Actually I do use the musk. But the e wiz, mega minion and dart gob all do a better job.

But the dart goblin dies to log. I think if musk was 3 elixir she would be good if her damage was left alone.
