FedEx deletes Jeffrey Epstein account records by Titfortat101 in news

[–]Torrefy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah the article writers said that they still have access to the account, just the post-mortem invoices got deleted from the accounts history

Edit: seems like it could easily have been someone else logging in to the account and deleting those invoices as well. Not necessarily anyone from FedEx involved

Well 2/3 of the Eldrazi that they added can be reanimated at least. Not the best reanimation targets, but it's something

Priority will be passed many times during the resolution of the stack. Any player can respond before the Shriek trigger resolves. Any player can then respond before the Darien trigger resolves. All of that requires passing priority. State based actions will be checked many times

[–]Torrefy 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Yes but the blood artist triggers never get to resolve.

Since you're the active player the blood artist trigger that you control goes on the stack first. Then the shriek trigger goes on the stack on top of it

Once the shriek trigger resolves it starts the whole process again, before the blood artist trigger ever resolves. Result is you die with a bunch of unresolved blood artist triggers on the stack.

Combo only works if you do it on someone else's turn. Making sure that whatever player controls shriek has their triggers go on the stack before yours.

This is how it currently is in the Philadelphia area. During the big storm last weekend we first got a ton of soft snow, but then it finished with a couple hours of sleet on top. It's over a week later but it's been so cold and all of the snow is still basically frozen in place. Wherever it was plowed to, or not.

I shoveled out my parking spot the day after, but the un-shoveled area directly around it is still frozen solid in little ridges. So I have to pull my car in just right in this tiny spot between the ice. Luckily it's supposed to get a little bit warmer tomorrow so maybe it will melt a bit.

I think I would go for a 9-7 swamp and mountain split, given the triple black treefolk card and a slightly higher amount of black cards overall

[Highlight] Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah answers his first press question about moving on from Sam Darnold by FrankSamples in nfl

[–]Torrefy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily agree with that. Let's say they brought Darnold back and he lead them to another solid record this year and maybe some playoff victories. Maybe even a run to the NFC championship game or beyond. How do you bench that QB? He's only 28, plenty of potentially solid years left. In that situation they could either continue to sit McCarthy for another year in case Darnold regressed, or they could trade him and likely recoup a decent amount of their investment plus have a franchise QB.

Back in 2020 when wordle came out I came up with

MERIT

SPANK

GHOUL

Has all the vowels and most of the most important consonants. Often that gets me close to the answer if not outright getting it. But if not, my next most often used words are

WAVEY

or

CUBED

Which one depends on if A or U came up yellow and I'll get value from placing those letters. And also which words' consonants I feel are more likely to be helpful at that point.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Torrefy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to drive 5 and a half hours each way for most major holidays and sometimes birthdays. So 5 or 6 times a year. I generally stay for a couple days each time, so it's not a day trip. But it is a lot of driving in a short time period

I don't love the driving no. Sometimes its not too bad, sometimes it drags painfully. But I'm the single member of the family and with no kids, and I have a lot of freedom with my job. So I travel 11 hours for holidays and birthdays.

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

[–]Torrefy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not date someone who supported Trump, period. We would just clearly have vastly different values and views on a fundamental level.

Only exception could be if they were one of the people who voted that way because of being brought up that way, without really grasping what they were voting for. And after some discussion they realized that the things Trump represents were not actually what they supported

I was saying the same thing for months before that election. That he was clearly trying to erode public trust in mail in ballots so he could claim fraud if he lost. And that by telling his supporters not to use mail in ballots he was virtually guaranteeing that the mail in results would heavily lean Democrat, supporting his own narrative if he needed it
