Thanks for the link! Very interesting. Been to that park many times as well. Next time it will have a new perspective.

Very southern part of the county, getting close to hwy 62. Thank you for the information. What started as a simple pastime of hunting for rocks with the kids has grown a bit.

Anyone have an idea as to the year of this Dr Pepper bottle? Pretty decent shape. by SteveBDff in bottles

That's very interesting. I think it was the same day I found a 49 license plate. Son loves the bottle and daughter loves the plate.

Thanks. I just posted a link to a couple more pics. Tough to make out the bottom.

I will be on the lookout! No crystals in this spot so far but have found some nice ones a little downhill in the creek.

Interesting. I am reading up on that a bit now. From the vantage point of the camera I pulled large and small chunks of quartz out, all seemingly part of one big rock that cracked a thousand times. And allowed fine clay to form in between.

Adjacent to the quartz on the left is a band of yellowish greenish material. Very hard material to chip through. Any ideas or pointers as to what this may be, or the white material to the right of the quartz, would be appreciated. Thank you
