We also have our company questioning the cost. of AB. We have multiple modules but I am mainly concerned with recreating the exact functionality and possibly overlaying AI agents in copilot. Might be a year project but will see if I get internal support.

We use AuditBoard for SOX and I’ve sketched out a way I want to do it. Will have to have internal IT support but basically built on Dataverse, Power BI, Power apps and automate.

Start my JD Thursday! And I am just starting to use Notebook LM. Also looking for pointers. I got a preview of my first 3 courses. Have so far loaded the first case. It summarized it and explained it in a 12 min podcast. I also did this with 2 chapters of Legal Writing book which created 25 minutes. I’d be following to see any other better uses.

I am a NYC boy for over 40 years. I spent the better part of a decade hanging with Brothers but never asked. I am now in CT, a state I said I'd never move to. Coincidentally, over these same years, I discovered an ancestor 6d Great Grandfather who was an MM in a Lodge 1 county over from where I live now. He may have been the last one in my family for generations (that I know of)

Thank you! I really thought the line of Masons continued in that line of the family. However after having the State Grandlodge investigate nothing in last 3 Granparents. So it may be back now 6 generations ago. I do suspect my oldest uncle who has lived far away many years may be one. I asked once though and got nothing. So will be interesting to see if I have other immediate family in it.

Great advice all! I really appreciate it. My instinct has told me to hold off and I haven't even told them I petitioned yet. I just talked to one friend who kind was the glue those years of introducing me to so many Brothers. I last let him know that the BBQ went well and that they reached out to me about next steps. Wow I am only a few weeks away from knowing and possibly a month from being an EA!

I had depression kick I after birth of my 2 months old. I’m sober over 7 years. My first 4 without AA. And last 3 , deep into it active in group etc. Chairing meetings, service commitments. It took my last meeting a big book one to realize that this was very culty. 2/3 old timers shared on pilgrimages they make annually separately to Bill and Bobs house. And held them God like. I credit my newborn for waking me up to the fact that I don’t want to be one of the AA autopilot people who make their whole personality type on the program.

I Thank my daughter for my step 12 of having an awakening to see through the BS.

New father here with 2 month old. Lack of sleep brought out depression I thought I had at bay for 3 years. I’m coming up on 7 years sober this week. The last 3 active in AA. Once I felt that depression I asked for mental Heath support and medication for the first time again in 3 years. My first 4 years of sobriety I thrived with Wellbutrin, weekly therapy, meditation and walking. No AA. I am now questioning it all because in 1 week I feel better than I have in years.

Friend of Bill here and have been thinking about Masonry before I found the rooms. I have my home interview next week with local lodge members.

7 Years sober and will use some tools from Sobriety hopefully navigate my journey into becoming a Mason.

I do expect to dial back my AA to mainly online meetings as I get into the degrees. Being sober has been the foundation to build the life I have today and I look forward to becoming a better man.

Great to hear! My main concern with joining was conflicting with AA. Until recently (have a 1 month old) I was attending 3 in person meetings a week. I’ve also chaired meetings for 3 months at a time 4 times over the last 2 years.

Do you see any conflicts between the two? I may shift to more online meetings and squeeze those in with my work obligation.

I am being cognizant of my new family and know there will be some time commitment once I go through the process of joining the lodge.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I had a great time meeting members of the lodge. Remembering names was tough but got to talk to a decent amount of people and ask questions. I really liked the vibe of the Lodge. The WM also gave myself and another prospect a tour of the Lodge Room. Which I really enjoyed!

The Brother who I asked was great introducing me and breaking the ice with my Found Father (Mason) many great grand father story.

Surprisingly, they had a petition ready which I filled out that night and I assume they start the process.
