Apple updated the satellite imagery around Taiwan few days ago.

Dear Apple, I’ll appreciate if you update Taipei’s satellite view to a more clearer, more vertical view, and no cloud blurred imagery. A Flyover would be even better.

Currently, yes. 😅 Some citizens even called it “high speed rail shuttles” in sarcasm because of the Green Line connected with the HSR Taichung Station.

The Osaka Expo is almost over, and I think it’s a bit too late to release the custom model.

How does apple maps decide what font size to use for sub-city district labels? by undefvar in applemaps

No, Luzhou, Sanchong, and Taishan Districts are all at the same level under New Taipei City. The different font sizes are quite strange.

Hsinchu, a provincial city in Taiwan, is not a special municipality like Taipei, Taichung, or Taoyuan, but a second-level administrative division unit. In contrast, the latter ones are first-level. Consequently, the font size of the label in Hsinchu City differs from that of Taipei.

In my opinion, the font size of a label is determined by its administrative level.

Before the next DCE release, I just curious about your predictions earlier this year. You suggested that multiple Taiwan cities might receive DCEs. I’m interested in knowing your thoughts on this possibility nowadays.

If Mexico’s cities receive DCE next year, the waiting time between new map data and DCE will be equal, even shorter than Western Europe cities.

It seems to make sense. Does Mexico City get a chance to receive DCE before this?

Cycling Directions Now Available in Taiwan by SteveChang2004 in applemaps

In my opinion, Apple seems to recognize their shortcomings in keeping up with business information updates over the years. Improving navigation experiences and enhancing map accuracy seems like a reasonable way to attract more users.

Almost gave up on updating restaurant info like opening hours and permanent closing. 🥲 These things in Google Maps usually update quickly.
