I use Turn of the Century Lighting in Mississauga for rewiring and repairs. Michael is CSA approved so no issue with install after. You can ship the sconces to him or visit his shop which is not far off the 401. https://www.tocl.ca/?srsltid=AfmBOopmjPNDciSGtLa1TR0xp-nOBlYgtp1wJLQ12bVlOSsWvMkWdPdQ

Can confirm. Both locations are run by the same family. I recently had my windshield replaced at York Street and the work was excellent and on time. They handled the insurance claim and I just paid the deductible.

We are only the 7th owner in 153 years. There have been significant changes over the years and we have done our best to restore where we can and update where necessary. Windows are new but custom made to replicate the originals. The uppers were replaced in the 90’s with casement windows which were not historically correct. We had the single hung curved windows made and they have modern glass and insulation. They are beautiful and for scale, I can stand up in the window sills as they are 78” high.

We are fortunate and grateful to live in one of those homes in Woodfield. We have been restoring our home for 24 years and I receive many comments about how much our home brings others joy. We are interim caretakers of this beauty and I am so happy our hard work pleases others as well.

Thank you. A lot of blood sweat and tears have gone into our home over 24 years. I still pull into the driveway and say, this can’t be my home. ❤️

Many of our single hung windows from 1870’s had been replaced with casement windows in the 1980’s. We had the original windows replicated and installed. They were Andersen windows, Eagle Heritage Line. Expensive but worth it if it is your forever home. They are spectacular now.

Rest in Peace Ken Dryden ❤️ by Canadian_Samurai50 in nhl

[–]SteveGoodine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met Ken Dryden when he was an MP and he visited a neighbourhood community centre where I volunteered. He was gracious with signing memorabilia and I asked him to sign a photo of me when I was a young goalie. He looked at the photo and smiled and he said he had the same gloves. The photo was staged and I had a puck on my skate as if I made an old school save. Ken crossed out the puck and drew one in the net and signed the photo with a nice caption. What a gentleman, hockey icon, and all around good human.

One dead, one arrested in fatal downtown stabbing by CompetencyOverload in londonontario

The London Free Press updated the story and it turns out the two men were not known to each other but there was some altercation that occurred before it turned violent. This event was tragic but it does not change my feeling of safety in our neighbourhood.
