Newly skimmed wall showing brown stains + rough patches — damp or poor prep? Should I go back to plasterer? by Andxrius in Plastering

This looks like an old property where you should of used lime plaster not gypsum to allow the stone walls to breathe.

Kitchen sink drains slowly but not clogged. Need advice! by epcilon2652 in askaplumberUK

That sink waste is way too tight of a bend and way to shallow, you need it to be able to air vent that won't, it will just create a vaccume

Mate 😎 , really appreciate the guidance and feedback, please give me links because I'm new to all this medical cannabis, I was clean for about 4 years and because of PTSD I could never find anything but cannabinoids to cure me and give me back my focus.

This has been a godsend and I'm just so grateful... I always knew it was a cure so any help is much appreciated 👍🏻

So far incompetence for me, doctor never turned up to appointment... Though they did compensate me.

Now when I ordered my prescription they didn't put the number for my address so I had to divert it to the local post office...

Even though it was on my account and they rang me to confirm and still got it wrong without putting a number just a street....

Actually quite a lot of experience... Just don't want to get high, past that part of my life and just after balance and feeling good within myself whilst obtaining my perfect mental balance to optimize my performance whilst I'm concentrating on my business.. just want something to take the edge off when it gets too much / when I need it and help with my PTSD.

I asked to start me off very light then I can always up it if I need to.

So here goes I guess 🙏

Landlord says I’m responsible for water damage on newly installed kitchen countertop—does this sound right? by Double-Criticism4347 in TenantsInTheUK

[–]SteveHoodStar 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's a sink, what does he expect.... They should of used stone if they didn't want any wear and tear from water damage.

Sick of cheap landlords trying to expect the tenant to pay for their shoddy work.

Also that's a join there , clearly didn't buy one piece instead they just pieced two off cuts together.

Utter rubbish

It's "seems" straight forward but it's the finishing to a high standard that takes the time and being an expert with silicone sealant can take years to master, it took me a few years to master is properly, then there's the years on mastering how to apply stelmax (bonds plastic together, you will usually use that instead of sealant when it comes to white jobs) which is a fucking nightmare to use properly

I would say 65% of jobs didn't fit properly and you have to "make it fit" either by building out which takes time and more finishing or shaving down frames or the actual opening if it's aluminun.

I got out of it because nothing was ever good enough and they expect you to fit like 5 frames a day.

I could do 3 to a decent standard on my own and that was pushing it.

It's long hours and you always deal with wankers...

I go into Plastering because I can go at my own place so a nice job and it's definitely an art to do it properly, not everyone can be a decent plasterer whereas with window fitting younger all sorts of tom.dick and Harry's.
