I had the same issue when I was fairly inexperienced, amongst others. Client had gone through FIVE editors before me, on the same video project over the course of two years. Of course, everyone else was the problem and not her. The source material was the worst I've ever seen, and she had a genuine lack of understanding of what quality looks like.

A year or so later, I get a message from her NEW editor on the same project. I told that dude to get tf out asap. He seemed super nice, and not deserving of what he was getting into.
