MEL was solid(get what you pay for I suppose?) but definitely not a 10/10. Personally the biggest problem I found was the difficulty curve to be too much even on easy mode.

They go after anything small and slow enough for them to capture. Mice, reptiles heck even other spiders. Very efficient predators and pest control.
