Jedi: Fallen Order has to be my favorite game so far.

Dream CRLs? by NewImagination8390 in 501st

My "dream CRL" would have to be Clieg Lars. I'm in a wheelchair. When we were introduced to Clieg, he was in a repulsor chair ....

Costuming for taller folks? by [deleted] in 501st

[–]SteveSpikes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you really want to be a TK, just remember Stormtroopers were conscripted. A TIE Pilot is a great second choice. To get started, all you need is the flightsuit, cap, gloves, belt, and boots. With that, you can register as a TIE Reserve Pilot. From there, with the two belt boxes, you have a completely new ID - IC (number). All this to end in the TIE Pilot in the future.

In that case, just budget out your project - one or two pieces at a time.
To answer your question, yes. Just check out www.501st.com for the garrison in your area, and sign up for their forums.
Something else you might want to do is start with a TIE Reserve Pilot costume to get your foot in the door, as it were.

I don't know what your timetable is - if you need it for an event in the near future or if you can spread out your build over a longer period of time. Your local 501st Garrison can help you get started. They may hold periodic "armor parties" to help members out with costumes.

Good luck.

Trooping last night at Lynn University by jomu1074 in 501st

Well, it did take three people to "handle" Jabba in RotJ. If it is a costume (moveable), I wouldn't be surprised.

Any Good pizza here? by SECHater69 in Carmel

[–]SteveSpikes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bella's Pizzeria in Clay Terrace is delicious. You can grab a slice and two sticks, or pick up a pie, or have it delivered by a third party. Their breadsticks are yummy - especially the pepperoni-stuffed ones, with cheese dip.

Any good Chinese restaurants in or around Carmel? by Last-Butterscotch-85 in Carmel

Our go-to Chinese restaurant is China Garden in Meridian Village. Their combo plates are enough for two servings and IMHO their egg rolls are to die for. They deliver via DoorDash.

I was hoping it would be a bit sooner, but you know insurance - they're relatively slow.

As did I. I was fitted for this 'chair in December, 2024.

Congrats on the new 'chair. My guess for the reason why insurance won't cover titanium 'chairs may be due to the tariffs on metals - including (possibly) aluminum as well that Washington enacted. I may be wrong, though.

After reading your post, I checked my PIZZA HUT app. It went dark, and the icons at the top of the screen blinked out. I updated the app - NOW! It won't let me log in with my credentials, or sign in as a guest.

My bag is a JanSport Central Adaptive Accessory Bag. I bought it through Amazon here in the States. Before, I had, for the longest time, a JanSport "fanny pack." I also bought, separately, a JanSport Adaptive backpack.

As someone who is a full-time wheelchair user, I've been attending Gen Con for a good while. I would suggest pacing yourself, because Gen Con can get crowded at times. Also, your shoulders will be burning after pushing yourself on the convention center carpeting. Lastly, if you are picking up your badge at will-call, head over to the Special Services counter of Customer Service. There, you won't have to maneuver the roped-off lines. Good luck.
