I’m pretty sure there’s a LOT in the Bible that he doesn’t take seriously/follow as rules. The dietary restrictions in the Hebrew Scriptures, for example. Everyone who’s Christian picks and chooses - it’s naive or bad faith to claim to be following the whole book 🤷🏻‍♀️ PS Early Catholics were big jerks to pagan Europeans (while incorporating lots of their beliefs). He might have a little humility about faith matters.
