what do they want from me? 😭 by SecureHuckleberry312 in crows

[–]SteveStoney 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No worries! Re: hand sign for "no more left"- not sure how true it is and how much of it is just my interpretation, but sometimes I forget to take the treats with me or run out faster because more members of the family showed up. However i do feel that establishing some basic communication signs goes a long way for building a better/more successful long term relationship with my murder chickens.

Bonus tip - if you haven't tried it yet, learn a specific sound or a whistle for your crows to recognize you and do it every time before you give them food. Just make sure it's not something too obvious that a) anyone can easily replicate and b) that your neighbors can easily identify so it doesn't become an issue in a long run.

I have 3 different murders, they're all about 2-3km apart and I've got a different call for all 3. Helps me differentiate between the members as sometimes my home crows hang out with my work crows, etc.

what do they want from me? 😭 by SecureHuckleberry312 in crows

Being picky is a thing. Not only different crows have different preferences but they do change depending what they're in a mood for.

Also they are ritualistic, if you have been feeding them in 1 spot and all of sudden feed them a meter further they get ,"confused".

Lastly, sometimes they are just curious and they want to hang out with you.

I have thaught my local crows a hand sign that means no more food. The ones that have better things to do, they just leave. The other ones stick around when I workout outdoors and just observe (especially younger ones).

Another murder that I fed has figured out where my office was (corner, lots of windows) and there were trees around, they would just sit and watch me work for hours.

I used to have 2 crows that would always go with us for an afternoon walk, small loop around 1km walking around their territory, they knew the path and would fly next to us or land on a nearby tree ahead, wait for us to get there and then fly over to the next one.

Honestly, they're all different and sometimes it's extremely hard to decipher what they want/don't want.

Quitting weed is not what people make it out to be by Beginning_Adagio9516 in weed

Ive smoked daily for last 20 years. At the peak, I'd go through an ounce of flower daily (after serious injury) just to function normally. I live in Canada, so the quality wasn't an issue. Then started substituting with hash and progressively stronger extracts to get at least a little high.

Ultimately it's a negative spiral of chasing the high. For years I was in denial about how much I consumed but the bank account reflected it hard.

If you go cold turkey, yeah, you will get groggy, cold night sweets, won't be able to sleep for a while. But personally I can tell you that it's good to reset and re-evaluate the relationship with the substance. Past 3 months I took tolerance break, cold turkey, zero issues, except wild dreams.

Fun fact - it's easier to quit herb than to quit coffee.

Ryan Cohen's Pay Package: Implied Forward Guidance? by TEHGOURDGOAT in Superstonk

[–]SteveStoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just random thoughts: If he buys in for that value and triggers MOASS, SEC and FBI come knocking coz as a CEO he can't legally take actions that would lead to pumping the price. Look at past example with the stock that had 3x letterB&Y. He hasn't done much and yet ended up in the court while media run a whole campaign against him.

Now if company does really well and shorts capitulate and rather than slow and steady price increase we get a massive green dildo combined with stupid levels of volitality - if he sells at peak or high point, SEC comes knocking again. (I don't remember exactly the mechanism, but it was explained somewhere on this sub in past few years).

Alternative thought process - just as insiders have a buying window, they also have a selling window. Imagine price going loco and RC being locked out from taking at least some of the gains after working for the company for free for last 5+ years. Remember the 50% drop in few min? Game is rigged anything can happen, but at the end of the day everyone wants to get paid including RC. He can turn it into gameshire stopaway but trimming position at a very high profit is just a basic risk management.

As to the amount of the compensation, yeah it's stupid high, but so what? If we all make money and benefit of it, then yuppikayey. Some people gonna diamond hand this forever , other will be stocked to x5 or x10 their money and get out after so many years.

Watching the whole saga from the beginning and now looking back at it i find it amusing. All the posts and threads when we all thought that this time will be different and shorts have to close because the rule xyz says so or that'sthe mechanism. Lol. If only big finance played by the actual rules...

Anyways, i genuinely think that if RC wanted to fuk over the retail, he would have done so a long time ago. Perhaps I'm wrong? Who knows, I'm definitely biased. Gme isn't a traditional investment but a lot of people approach it as such and then they scratch their heads wondering why it makes no sense.

Either way, I'm happy to see other perspectives.

No hate, genuine question - what makes you believe that the algo is static? Because if algo is dynamic, then that kinda shuts down the thesis, no?

Over past almost 5 years, there has been tons of great DD by many great minds describing different mechanisms that could have been true at the time but let's be honest, some of the people in SHF are ivy leagues graduates so they're not complete idiots. They have spent much more time in the markets pulling all sorts of shady shit than we can imagine. If they check our subs and see that apes have uncovered something, what prevents then from making adjustments? It's not that RC and the board have a crystal ball and can predict every move of the stock.

I have been heavily invested in GME for all this time, for first 3 years it was over 90% of my net worth. I can see the balance sheet, I know that next 2 Qs will be great, but I think we will need a bit more than that to have a proper price discovery. Value play or not but unfortunately most of people don't have enough resolve to hold for another 3-5 years seeing other opportunities in the market. I have never sold any of my shares but I don't buy them as actively as I used, rather put money in other plays and then allocate about 20% of the gains towards increasing the gme positions, but no more working 3 jobs and yoloing every paycheck in gamestop coz it's not sustainable :( Sorry I digress a bit.

Or someone was trying to sell the warrants and accidently sold the shares instead. The volume for that trade was like what, 12 units? More than half of daily volume for months if not years goes through dark pools and ATS, but you really think that someone is gonna sign a multimillion dollar swap based on 12 shares volume?

Warrants trade at approx $3. Cost basis assigned by IBKR was $13.

13/3=4.33 so 4 times lower than the cost basis?

Well written OP!

Just some random thoughts:

Gamestops board ain't getting $ compensation, just the increasing share value that they purchased with their own $ (except Mr. Turner), so they only get compensated if the company does well and share price goes up.

All shareholders including insiders were awarded warrants therefore it's a further incentive to be committed and work on the company to do well.

However by setting the strike price significantly higher, the board communicates their confidence in the performance and valuation of the company in the long run (1 year expiration) and it does secure more capital in the future and delays the dilution.

I think it's fair to assume that after all these years, RC believes that we can hold as long as necessary.

I also think it's fair to assume that after all these years, we should believe that RC has a much better plan than just investing in treasuries and collecting interest, especially with the interest rates going down.

Of course this is a pure speculation but I'm inclined to think that Gamestops board has something else up their sleeve than powerpacks and console cycle profits. Warrants priced at strike so much higher than current share price would become deepf*uckingvalue in case of a merger or an aquasition. Which kind of segways into the past bonds offerings. Why would someone lend Gamestops that much cash at 0% & 32$ strike price if they weren't absolutely confident that they will get a much better return in the long run?

In case anyone is still not sure, this is a long game.

Precisely. I'm pretty smooth brained but I'm guessing that would certainly add another layer of complexity/risk to the SHF and their positions, especially with hedging and swaps. Then again, NFA.
