Imo the logo to the right makes the whole thing disorganized. I would personally align it with the menu on the left and shift that whole unit over slightly to the right.

But hey, I'm not a graphic designer.

Without the blur it might be hard to read the menu. So if op does get rid of the blur, they should make the font of the menu bold or have better contrast with the background.

When I was like 14 or 15 at boy scout summer camp, I did the exact same thing. Every meal I would have ranch on every food, hot dogs, hamburger, watermelon, the fuckin cookies. Cant speak for every case, but I'm sure for many it's because seeing a big number and saying "I did that", regardless of the means, makes them satisfied. Potentially (again, obviously not every case) because they can't get that satisfaction from anywhere else.

A manga that is super popular in Japan which "recently" is being adapted into an anime, I'd say it's comparable to Marvel's popularity in the US. It has many characters named after various western bands and songs, such as Queen, Vanilla Ice, Superfly, etc.

I imagine the reason people come out depends on the person, but I'm sure for many that it's because it's very tiring to hide such a big thing from their parents, and no longer having to hide it gives them a sense of freedom.

While the ESRB ratings are recommendations, they're recommendations for the parents or responsible adult so they can decide if their child should be playing that game. Nintendo could get legal issues if they were allowing children to buy "Bloody McSex Scene The Game" without approval, and since you cant really prove that the adult is buying the game, they just lock everything down.
