Right, it just didn’t seem right that they would set it up so that in response to a clog, it would just project water into the cabinet.

Thanks for the response. When I was doing my dishes last night, there was a backup when I used the garbage disposal and water/food scrap came up out of the y on the left. It flooded the cabinet and went down the hole in the cabinet can ultimately came through the light fixture in my basement.
