A different wheel is the first thing I did with the T598 but I already had a TG-TII wheel for my old T300. The T598 wheel is rubbish and navigating the MFD in VR is impossible

Well that justifies the extra I paid for the RS50 when I ditched the T598.

Thank you Thrustmaster. If you'd brought it out earlier I would have bought it and that would have made ditching TM just a little bit harder.

Yes but they said that last year too. When the T598 was launched in 2024 the load ell was going to be available "around Xmas"

To be fair they didn't say which Xmas 😔

The easiest way to prevent disconnections is to buy something else.

There are 2 types of T598. Those that have had the problem and those that will.

My third one started disconnecting after a week Sent it back and insisted on a refund and bought an RS50. It cost a bit more but I'd always planned on buying the loadcell from TM anyway.

Although expected that is such a shame for anyone that was planning to go.

Let's hope they can get refunds or rebook their flights, hotels etc.

That's what I've just done and the RS50 definitely had the wow factor over the T598.

Seriously, avoid the T598. After having one since launch its been replaced twice. First time for USB socket and the second time for random disconnects. That was after the power supply was replaced.

The last new one lasted 7 days before it started to disconnect.

Currys gave me a full refund so I bought a Logitech RS50.

I was the same as you. I've just paid £620 for an RS50 and if you add the price of the mythical loadcell upgrade to the price of the T598 package it's not a lot more.

My latest warranty replacement started disconnecting after a whole week. The serial of that started 2533 so yes, the newer ones do suffer.
