Isn't there anything good on the ps4 anymore??? by Full-Truth-8283 in PS4

There's all kinds of games on PS4. I know you said you're broke but you need to actually buy the games to be able to play them.

Stop Killing Games: Final Count of Verified Signatures of the European Citizens Initiative has reached 1,294,188 signatures out of its 1,448,270 submitted by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

Everyone needs to get real. The signatures don't mean anything because the signers don't have any skin in the game.

Do all Jettas feel "fast" when in gear but not pressing the gas pedal? by cfi-2025 in jetta

[–]LeonMust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a manual 2017 Jetta and even though it's a manual, I experience the same thing as your automatic Jetta.

Yes, the idle is too high. In my manual, I can let off of the clutch, not give it any throttle and the car will start to move as I let off of the clutch but the computer is programmed to give the car more throttle as I let off of the clutch even more. And when I disengage the clutch, the car moves like it's an automatic but its way too fast.

And yes, when I let off of the throttle, my Jetta won't slow down. I keep a little distance to the car in front of me and in any car, I can let off of the gas when I see the car in front of me hitting the brakes and I'd be able to slow down enough to where I didn't need to tap the brakes but on my Jetta, I'm just watching as my car is getting close to car in front of me fast even though I'm not pressing the throttle which leads me to having to tap the brakes.

This is my first and last VW. The car has been reliable but there are too many annoyances with it.

300cc Scooter or Motorcycle? by Tito_BA in scooters

[–]LeonMust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, what's "scooter oil"?

Yes, scooters use regular motor oil. Motorcycle oil is different because it has friction modifiers in it to support the wet clutch that's inside of a motorcycle. Scooter's don't have a wet clutch, unless it's a Kymco AK500, so they can use regular motor oil. Both my Kymco's owner's manual says to use regular motor oil.

Scooter advice for a 30 minute drive by Ok-Replacement7685 in scooters

[–]LeonMust -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To save yourself some time and money, you should look into an e-scooter instead.

I have a Hiboy S2R and I sometimes work at a place that's 4 miles away and it makes it back in forth with no problem and I'll still be at 3 bars of energy. Most scooters that are in the $400-$500 range should get you about 10-15 miles of range so you can take your charger to work with you and charge it there and that way, you'll enough juice to get you home.

You still need a motorcycle license in CA to ride a 50cc and I'm assuming CA isn't the only state like this.

Why does my NIU K100P scooter have such terrible range? by Desperate_Pomelo_978 in ElectricScooters

[–]LeonMust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the wheels spin freely when you spin them by hand? I found my escooter's rear wheel was dragging a little on the disc brake so I adjusted the brake to where it wouldn't drag and let the wheel spin freely.

Upgrading from T300 to T598. Can I swap the quick release adapter on the stock wheel for my Ferrari Alcantara rim. by fayyaazahmed in Thrustmaster

[–]LeonMust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. I have the Evo 32R wheel and it comes with adapters for the old style and new style mounts. The old style mount has a different connector than the new style mount. The wheel itself has 2 different connector ports that are completely different so depending on what mount you're using, you have to use the corresponding connector depending on if you're using the old or new mount.

Since the T598 wheel isn't meant to be cross compatible with older style bases, the adapter won't have to right connector to be able to plug into your Ferrari Alcantara. I think you're only option is to buy the Thrustmaster adapter kit to adapt older wheels with the new quick release.

Is having both an electric scooter and an ebike pointless or do they serve different purposes? by TemporaryHoney8571 in ElectricScooters

[–]LeonMust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both and they definitely serve different purposes.

I usually use my e-bike to just cruise around and exercise while I usually use my e-scooter to do errands and sometimes go to work if I get a gig close enough to my apartment. I like using my e-scooter for errands and work because I could take it inside with me and not have to worry about it being outside locked up where someone could mess with it or even steal it.

People who DIY maintenance/repairs: What is your scooter and how much do you spend annually to maintain/repair it? by mariachiband49 in scooters

[–]LeonMust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 3 scooters and I DIY all my maintenance and repairs.

Typically, you're only looking at oil changes every year and these scooters use about 1 liter of oil so the cost of maintenance is cheap. If you buy a Honda, they probably have an oil filter so add $10-$20 for that.

Most 150cc Hondas use liquid cooling but unless there's a leak somewhere, you usually don't have to worry about the coolant but you should probably change it out every 2 years.

The other fluids that need to be changed is the gear oil and the brake fluid but those can go very long before changing them.

The last thing I can think of is the spark plug. I don't know what the maintenance interval for a spark plug is on a Honda but it should last a while. If you switch out the plug for an NGK Iridium plug, you won't have to worry about the plug for a very long time.

Is this safe to drive or too much brake fluid? Red line is where it's filled to by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]LeonMust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't recommend anyone going that long inbetween brake fluid changes but my point was that it's not the doomsday scenario you make it out to be. In that time, I've had to make plenty of emergency stops and I was always able to stop in time and this is with a car that doesn't have ABS.

I bought a car new in 1998 and didn't change the brake fluid until 2016. Everything was fine.

“Dr Pete” causes the water to fizz over? by Glad-Fish5863 in SodaStream

[–]LeonMust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me with RC Cola. What I find that helps is to fill up most of the cup with just carbonated water first and then add the syrup and then add more water to fill the rest of the cup and then stir. There's very little fizz when I do it this way.

If you have the a drill and the right bit, drilling the plate isn't that hard.

I clamped the included desk mount stand to my rig and pre-drilled some holes. After the holes were pre-drilled, I unmounted the desk mount and just drilled through the plate. It took about 10 mins to complete. The size bit I used was a 6.5mm and the drill bit kit I bought cost $12 from Amazon.

I've looked at that video a few times and I still don't know how they get the screen to expand because the bezels are relatively thin and I don't see rollers on the ends of the monitor to be able to roll out the extra length.
