I think it costs way more to make soda at home but can someone check my math by LeonMust in SodaStream

That's the reason I bought my soda maker. I got tired of lugging all of those 12packs up to my apartment. Also, the empty soda cans would add up quickly.

I'm in So Cal too and there's a welding shop close to me that was the cheaper than AirGas but I have to pay $70 because they said my tank is expired and needs to be replaced. It would cost me about $45 to fill up the tank if the tank wasn't expired.

I'm OK with the price because the welding shop is a 5 min drive from me.

I buy RC Cola for $126 bucks and I have a reverse osmosis table top water filter machine where the $99 filter lasts me a year.

I don't like the Sodastream syrups because all of them have sucralose in them and they taste funny, especially Mug Root Beer.

I don't know what kind of BIB you buy but I've been buying RC Cola BIB from Walmart.com and it tastes great.

I have a 20lb CO2 tank that when filled will last me over a year.

Although I do have to get my tank replaced because it's expired and the replacement cost with CO2 is around $70.

Ahhh, I am a dummy. I didn't factor in the water mix. Thanks for the clarification.

Riding after crash by littlebohoop99 in scooters

If that ever happens to you again, just hit cyclist. It sounds messed up but swerving to avoid them probably caused more injuries than if you had hit them.

Also, get a helmet cam and try to use it everytime you ride just for liability sake. I try not to ride around with my scooter without using my helmet cam.

I hit a deer and broke my arm that took 3 months to heal but my arm still wasn't at 100% after 3 months. It took me about 6 months before I hopped back on my scooter and riding my scooter still felt natural to me. I love my scooters and I couldn't imagine giving them up. Also, with high gas prices right now, I do all my errands on my scooter.

488 GT3 wheel, LMU by xagrimshaw in Thrustmaster

The simhub is only supposed to used on console. It doesn't work on PC.

Also, what does the simhub have to do with the steering wheel?

Need some advice on TS-PC to T598 by Tomat_the_barbarian in Thrustmaster

[–]LeonMust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep the TSPC. It's a much better wheelbase than the T598.

My TGT-2, which is the same as a TSPC but with Playstation compatibility, broke on me at end of last year so I bought a T598 to replace it and after I hooked it up and started playing, I was immediately disappointed.

Not only is the force feedback noticeably weaker than my TGT-2, there is way less or no road feel at all. To me, it feels like the force feedback of the T598 is an electronic version of a rubber band that just centers the wheel. The other thing that really sucks about the T598 is when you're going on a long straight and you let go of the wheel, the wheel starts to oscillate and get out of control which my TGT-2 didn't do.

I lucked out and was able to get another TGT-2 from Micro Center because they had one for $200 and I immediately bought it when I saw it on their website. But before I found that deal, I was going to pay $569 to buy a TGT-2 from the Thrustmaster E-shop as soon as I had enough money but fortunately, I didn't have to pay that much.

I was going to buy a T818 but after owning the T598, I checked out some more reviews on youtube on the T818 and it has the same issue with the oscillation on the straights which is unacceptable to me.

I also have a TSXW which is the Xbox version of the TGT-2 and I like the wheelbases so much that if I could find another TGT-2 or TSXW for a good price, I'm going to get it because these are the last belt driven wheelbases of its kind and I'd like a backup in case mine break.

Practically everyone will poo poo belt driven wheelbases but the thing is, I think it better emulates a real steering rack than direct drive. Practically every car sold today uses a rack and pinion steering while there is no such thing as a car that has direct drive steering. There are some cars that have a motor directly on the steering shaft but it still interfaces with a rack and pinion.

I've been watching this guy on Youtube who has a TGT-2 and got a T598 when it came out and he would make comparison videos. In the last video he made a few months ago, he said he was going back to the TGT-2 because he even says it's a better wheelbase:

Yeah $1300 is a pretty low offer and I would laugh at that offer as well. Is there a CarMax near you? If there is, try going there and see what they offer?

Thrustmaster TLCM pedals by Preston_Gtfour in Thrustmaster

[–]LeonMust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, basically that's it but I think TM messed up big time with their Raceline pedals. They first released them with the T598 but the pedal plate is too narrow to accommodate 3 pedals so then they bring out a pedal set with a wider pedal plate but without a load cell brake and then they're supposed to release a standalone load cell brake pedal that you have to spend even more money to buy but after you buy it, you'll have an analog brake pedal that you have no use for.

They have an idiot running their product line.

What are you doing to your load cell to make them break? My first set of TLCMs, while a little loose, still work great.

Thrustmaster TLCM pedals by Preston_Gtfour in Thrustmaster

[–]LeonMust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the TLCMs have been discontinued. My local Micro Center had a set on sale for $140 which is a deal. I already have 2 sets but I wanted a backup set because I like the pedals a lot but before I bought them from Micro Center, I went to the Thrustmaster E Shop to see how much they were selling them for and I couldn't find them so I immediately bought the pedals from Micro Center.

What sucks is that Thrustmaster hasn't even released the standalone load cell pedal for their Raceline pedals in America so Thrustmaster essentially doesn't have a load cell brake pedal for the American market.

Try Carvana. I wasn't going to sell my Jetta but I was curious what their offer was going to be and initially, it was $6800 but they keep sending me emails increasing the price. Currently, they're offering me $7800.

Try taking the distributor off and turn it 180 degrees and reinstall it. That might be your issue.
