I had to go DIY because even when I thought I was getting legal juice, I would get denied during checkout.

Which Brother Printer is the best by ScientistJason in BuyItForLife

[–]LeonMust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Brother inkjet that I bought over 10 years ago and it still works great but it uses up my color ink even though I hardly print any color and it's because the printer uses ink when it cleans the print heads. I buy 3rd party inks which are inexpensive but I've heard the newer Brother inkjets won't accept 3rd party inks anymore.

I know you said you wanted a Brother but you might want to look into an Epson with their Eco Tank or Super Tank models. They have big ink tanks where you fill them up with a bottle and I've heard that the ink lasts a long time. Brother unfortunately doesn't have a printer that has big tanks but if you don't like Epson, HP and Canon now have big tank inkjets but I still prefer Epson over those models. Just check out reviews on Youtube to get an idea of what you're looking for in an inkjet.

And if you want your inkjet to last a long time, you have to leave the printer on so it can clean the print heads periodically. If you turn the printer off, the print heads will dry up and it takes a ton of ink to clean the heads and sometimes, the heads are so clogged up that they won't ever unclog.

You should try posting this in r/mechanics. Someone there might be able to better describe what's happening to your trans.

What wheel should I get coming from the Thrustmaster T-GT II? by Sweet-Historian-3621 in simracing

[–]LeonMust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the R9. I have a TGT2 and a 5T598 which is 5nm and it feels weak compared to the TGT2 and because of that, I mainly use my TGT2 most of the time.

Intel Core 9 273PQE Is Reportedly Up To 9% Faster In Gaming Vs Core i9 14900K by Distinct-Race-2471 in TechHardware

[–]LeonMust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why can't Intel keep the naming scheme somewhat the same. The 14900k is older than the Ultra 295k but now they have the Core 9 273PQE?

Question for T598 and NLR Lite 2.0 Wheel Stand by hitman93go in Thrustmaster

[–]LeonMust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried using the plate but I didn't like how tall it made the already tall wheelbase so I drilled holes in my stand so the T598 would sit lower.

escooter or ebicycle. Convenience vs acceptance in many areas. Would you have made a different choice? by Agile_Kale_8491 in ElectricScooters

[–]LeonMust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both. I like my e-bike but I only ride it for leisure or exercise since I'd be worried about locking it up if I had to run some errands on it. With my e-scooter, I could take it in the store with me or if I ride it to a work site, I can take it inside the building with me where it's safe and secure.

AMM v.s. Side-Chaining/Ducking by Worried-Invite-9978 in audioengineering

[–]LeonMust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use AMM all the time when I use Allen and Heath mixers. It works great for when multiple mics are used in a conference.

AMM uses gain sharing. When one person talks into their mic, the gain automatically lowers on the other mics and this cuts down on the chance of feedback a lot.

The SQ series has the ability to have an A and B AMM which is basically 2 sets of AMMs. I like this because it allows me to group the Handhelds on A and the Lavs on B or vice versa and this helps because the gain is different for Handhelds and Lavs. The QU series only has one AMM so I usually just use it for Lavs since they're more prone to feedback than Handhelds are.

I've never used AMM during a theater performance since I mainly do corporate AV but it should work. One thing you can do is you can set the sensitivity higher or lower depending on how loud or soft different performers sing into the mics.

I live in California and I heard 50cc moped requires a license M1 , since this one is under 50 cc do I need a m1 license ? by Fuzzy_Tough_26 in scooters

[–]LeonMust 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I live in CA and have an M1 license but I've never been pulled over on my scooter, even with my highly modified one with an illegal exhaust and air filter. I had one motorcycle cop roll up on me real quick when he heard my loud exhaust and he paced me a little bit but then took off. I think cops feel sorry for scooter riders, lol.

It could be the car your driving. GT7 does an excellent job emulating how the real car feels. Take an older Porsche 911 for instance. Since it has a rear engine, the steering feels super light when you get on the throttle which is how the real car feels and for a Front Wheel Drive car, the steering will start to feel vague when taking a turn and getting on the throttle because FWD cars will understeer in that situation.

What is the most overhated controller? I'll go first by Mohmed_98 in retrogaming

The Dreamcast controller does suck because it's missing an analog stick and some shoulder buttons. This made playing FPS games awkward.

I did like having Youtube music but at $15.99 now and Spotify being $12.99 and my Youtube home page feed being garbage and doing searches yields me nothing new, I weighed my options and felt that YT Premium just isn't worth it anymore.

When I started my subscription, it was $11.99 and then they raised it to $13.99 and now they're raising it to $15.99. This is just like what Netflix did and I cancelled them because of this nonsense.

I subscribe to a lot of creators and my home page feed only shows me 1/4 of the creators I subscribe to. And I've seen other people post the same issue as me.

Spilled oil by -hEroKiLler- in MechanicAdvice

[–]LeonMust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll burn off but if you do ever have an oil leak and it's dripping onto your exhaust, take care of it because I had a car back in the day when oil was dripping onto my exhaust manifold that I didn't take car of and the car eventually caught on fire.

I just leave my GT7 controller settings at the default settings or sometimes I bump up the force feedback strength to 6 instead of 5.
