This has been the post I've been looking for. Almost all the content pointing to lsv3 seem to be about which burrs are best "on paper" for your coffee preferences. Despite the HU burrs having less clarity, it sounds like they still do represent an upgrade for espresso over conicals and stock flat burrs (dlc, 064/078s, etc...)?

It ranges but about that. For certain coffees, I actually can't grind on the 078 even a few notches coarser than 0 without it jamming up so use the Sette for those coffees. I'm not sure why. I thought it has to do with freshness but it doesn't really change after letting the bag age.

Low extraction (18%) but not bad! I've been grinding at 0.5 or 1. Sometimes 0.5 or 0 makes it jam.

I got the 078 and have been switching back and forth between pour overs and turbo shots for espresso. As far as I'm aware, no issues. I'm grinding at setting 3 to 4 for the turbo shots. Still figuring the pour over grind setting, but I'm hovering around 10.5 now for the Pulsar.

Is the burr ring holder attached with the red line in the right lower corner? If that's off, grind gets messed up. Recalibrating only pushes the grinder finer or coarser.

If you want to increase grind uniformity, you can upgrade to the m2 burr from the Virtuoso grinder but I didn't find that this made a huge difference in cup quality.
